She chewed on her lower lip as she thought.

"By staying away, we may just be incriminating yourself even worse," she murmured, moreso to herself than him. "We need to decide a plan of action."

However, he left the room in search of water. Liz glanced at Gale and then sat beside her on the couch.

"My father has connections down at the station," she offered, but Gale was not too keen on putting her friend through that. Besides, her parents already did not care for her.

"No, thanks though," Gale replied.

 Liz sighed and stood. "I'm sorry, Gale, I'm exhausted. I'll see you all this afternoons. Car is out front if you need it."

Gale nodded and thanked her.

Once she had left, Gale put her head in her hands. The headache was just getting worse. After a moment, she forced herself up and into the kitchen where Hanini was hunched over the sink. She did not speak as she watched him.

It was crazy to think that they could possibly harbor powers of some type. What would that mean for their future?

Letting the thought drop, she glanced at good job clock. She needed to run by the foster house and pick up an extra change of clothes. Maybe she would run away again. If she did though, it would mean another charge on her file.

She blinked and glanced away after realizing that she had been staring.
