Darkness....

Though Hanini didn't press the issue further, he pondered on it for some time. Perhaps her abilities had something to do with darkness or shadows; As his had to do with water. Maybe they could help each other! But for now, rest was the immediate goal.

Hanini turned his head to look at Gale when she spoke his name, but no words came. Instead, she reached down for his hand, and took it in her own. It was then that Hanini realized that he wasn't the only one in pain. Gale was seeking comfort too. She may have had a close friend in Liz, but this pain was something that Liz could never relate to. Gale had probably lost someone dear as well. And she was also experiencing odd changes with her body; Ones that couldn't be explained by puberty. In that light, Hanini and Gale had no one but each other. He gripped her hand, and lay it on his chest. It took some time, but eventually he fell asleep as well. And peacefully he would lay until morning, when Liz walked in...
