Oens gaze feel to the monks person, the planet around them slowly falling into chaos. Oen eyes looked up and around him, the Umbra as spreading, it, if unchecked, could destroy the planet, and system itself, it has before after all. Oen looked at the man once more a smirk playing on his lips. "Unwilling to see a planet destroyed in hopes of killing me me?" Oen held out his hand the sphere of red arcane energy was see through, almost, a few dark ares made it seem like a small globe of the planet they stood. "Destroy this planet, this solar system, even this reality itself, I exists outside it all." Oen closed his hand around the sphere and the entire planet flickered as he did before, reverting to what it was at the start of the fight, both men standing facing each other at their first points, even the village was back, burning, the people still gone.

The man tried to mock, and insult with his words, but they aimed at a being who truly care not of, anything. Himself, others, worlds, realities, nothing matter, nothing fueled the man, nothing drove him, he was simple, there, no greater purpose besides being. Oen didn't want to fight from the start, nor did he  not want to, the man issued a challenge, just as the humans did, they were all the same in Oens eyes, all warranted the same response. Gabe now wished to retract his challenge in few of causing death, Oen didn't even so much as shrug the mans way, he simple turned and started to walk away, as if the challenge was never issued in the first place, the man, with all his power and wisdom, was still no better then a cockroach, battling to survive, to exist, to find something to make his being, purposeful.

"The antics of a thrashing toddler" Thought Gabriel as the explosion of arcane energy erupted from the ground; fell from the sky, and tore at the fabric of the nearby world. The monk had not moved an inch from start to finish of the bubble; nor had he moved as his opponent was reverted into nothingness, and even as the new dark matter styled creature rose up from his original position, the monk did not move. At all... Nor had he ever. As the ceiling of the world burst open with an array of destructive lightning and rained death; whilst the flooring of the land ruptured and shifted beneath them both, Gabriel did not move. He didnt dodge, didnt strike out, didnt react...

Instead he simply vanished; as too did the bubble of nothingness, as too did the false shell of his form. For he had never moved from his spot at the start of the match. He had stood there all along; manipulating gravity, becoming truly invisible, untouchable, immaterial, as his doppleganger of darkness moved about, spoke, and acted as he convinced the universe and all of reality. There had never been anything more than the illusion of his form, the guise of an attack and defense. Gabriel wasnt above using deception in a battle, but unlike a trick that decieves one sense, his absolute control over gravity defeated any and all senses. One could not see him, hear him, feel him, smell him, or... taste him. No infrared, thermal, or altered wavelength could touch him or be allowed to return to the creator.

As the world unfolded around his body; clad in the white guise of the monk, his azure eyes looked upon his foe and he shook his head. He needn't the power to alter time to know what it would take to stop the creature before him. The weakness in the man being the weakness in the world all around... But would Gabriel be willing to destroy the entire world to destroy one being. After all, his grudge was in the wanton destruction of lives, and winning this fight would end many more without fail.

"Shall we call this on account of weather" Came the amused voice of the monk... "After all it is raining pretty hard, and the ground's getting pretty shaky" The laughing and mocking tone that fell from Gabriel's lips was almost cynical and bordered on insulting, while the monk form he held simply stood aloof as matter of all kinds passed through his gravitationally shifting and distorting form.

(gonna get off here for a bit... feel free to reply XD)

Oen was in nothingness, a new experience even for him, no pain, no escape, this, this truly was nothingness. The monk had trapped Oen, trapped him in something no one ever has, or lack of something rather, but, all was not what it seemed. Oen, the being inside the shell of nothingness, could not move, he could not live, he couldn't do anything, so he did just that, he did nothing, he simply stopped existing as the monk said. The monk no doubt feels as if its all over, his focus on keeping the shell contained, keeping Oen contained, but how can you contain a being that isn't all together.

Only a few seconds have passed since Oen had been encased in the shell, the monk standing five feet from it on the outside, holding it in. As another second ticked by the ground for roughly thirty feet ****, shattered and let out a large blast of red arcane energy, streaking upwards as if lighting fromed under the surface. (These bolts had no control, they simply hit what ever was near, the tips hitting atmosphere, but arches would slam into the ground and, the monk. Five seconds passed as the sky became a red clouds, arcane energy turned into a gas like form, lighting arcing now and again.

On the ground, where Oen once stood at the start of the fight, a black puddle forms, this black puddle slowly rises up forming a human figure, before becoming more defined. The black matter was the small marble Oen dropped from the very start of the fight, a bit of umbra that was feeding off the planets matter, and energy, as well as a gateway to where Oen's true form lays, The umbra realm. The newly formed Oen looked around. His eyes locked with the monk, (armor there or not there don;t matter.) "As I said, you also fail to understand the simplest of things." Oen put his hand out his palm facing the man, small red chains of lighting arching from finger to finger. "I control my own fate, and my reality." Oen closed his hand holding the energy in his palm now. "Umbra will take over this realm, a cancer in itself." All around them, the earth was flat, the mountains had caved in on themselves, and if the monk was truly gifted he could feel the ground in constant motion under his feet, the umbra continuing to feed, expand, the red clouds above as well slowly spreading out to the horizon. "I asked you, if this fight, where I seem to care so little about life, would be worth the planets and all those on it." Oens crossed his arms over his chest. "You, are just as uncaring as I."

Gabriel almost couldnt believe what had happened... His opponent willingly stepped inward and allowed the gravitational anomaly to reach completion. There had never before been an opponent willing to truly delve into the darkness, and for that step, Gabriel gained a sliver of respect for the being. Though... as the creature would soon find out... Respect would mean nothing when faced with literal nothingness.

As the surface of darkness reached full circle; trapping the enemy within the now bubble-like confines of an infinitely compressing field of gravity, Gabriel released the forces held at bay, stepped free from the destruction to ensue, and watched from a mere five feet away. Not even he could see through the darkness; for it was not just the opposition to light but the absence of it entirely, and within the bubble things would be far worse. The gravity inside was that of a great quasar; thousands of black holes in one spot, the center of the known universe, and all things material would cease to exist instantly. Energy would be compressed into nothingness, just as time itself would be utterly obliterated. Nothingness; pure, simple, horrible. It would wrap up the new creature; crush him into an infinitely shrinking singularity, and not even the power to step backwards or forwards through time would help. For time does not exist within the bubble...

Gabriel waited; holding his focus on the exterior of the event horizon bubble, and constantly fought back the forces from within. Maintaining its stability and composition while not allowing it to consume the planet and the entire solar system with it. He would wait a few more moments to be certain of his foe's utter defeat, but he could not control the torrent of gravity forever...

i have note defended yet tho..XD)

"Time?" Oen listened to the monks words, him thinking they are wise, maybe that they would, open Oens eyes. "Meaningless? Worthless? All is worthless, time itself is worthless, and time itself is meaningless as you just proved." Oen didn't even have time to blink till the man was in front of him, his black hole theory was wrong, but none the less it showed him more info about the man. "Fail to understand you say?" Oen smirked at the mans words. "Or is it you that truly fails to realize the simplest of things I wonder." Oen watched as darkness surrounded them, faster then light, greater then what gravity could slow, but neither were needed to stop the encasement. Oen watched, to others it seemed like milliseconds to Oen it was all playing out a few seconds in his mind. As the encasement were to come to a close, it simply never connected, it continued to stretch and stretch in an infinite loop, never quite reaching the end of itself.

"My defense are weak, because I have none, I don't feel the need to defend myself." For the monks move to work, it is clear his auras must meet, time, gravity, matter none have a hindering effect. "I wish to see where this goes." With a smirk, the two points meet, Oen and the monk are encased in total darkness, 'trapped' in the monks power.

"You are skilled" Came words like molten steel; bubbling and spewing forth from beyond a great black veil "But you are young, and your defenses are lacking" Gabriel laughed silently to himself while the earth fell away below him; seeming to age, deteriorate, and then fade into oblivion as time was altered outside of the armor. "You constantly misunderstand and are far too overconfident" Came the same voice of pure resolve and concentrated focus. "You have been given a great power, a gift, an inexorable freedom to create and contribute, but you waste it on trivial nothingness... " The monk's voice would ebb and flow like water as he hovered patiently; no longer crouched in a defensive stance but standing fully erect with eyes of darkness looking out through an armor otherwise impossible to see through.

"You can alter time as I've come to realize... or perhaps you can modify it, accelerate it, or slow it down... but I am eternal, my power is eternal, the skin of darkness that you now see... It too can manipulate time and distort the reality you know. As a matter of fact" Gabriel's words were cut off as he appeared mere inches from his adversary: No sound, no inclination of the movement, no disturbance felt elsewhere "You are weak not because of your body, but because of your level of understanding... You fail to contemplate, and with lack of interest in exploring the possible and impossible, you are... worthless." His words continued unhindered; untouched by the power of time or gravity being used, and as he reached forward with but an outstretched palm, the surging energy of his armor would make itself known in a far more grandeus way.

In less than an instant; the speed of light no match for the speed at which gravity can alter reality, Gabriels aura expands outward from the center of his palm and warps in an arc outward to encompass the foe and the surroundings. If fully ensnared by the forming bubble, there would be no escape; not even through time, as with the bending of light to such extremes, time itself is caught in flux and no movement through it is impossible. Such is the power of gravity. The one power capable of nullifying or transcending time itself.

Oen watched a his finger seemed to stretched into the man, his very being was a black hole as Oen thought. Getting pulled into a black hole was, odd, it happened quickly and slowly all at the same time, it stretched what ever it's pull grabbed on top. Energy, and matter are one thing to a black hole, all adding to itself, making it more dangerous. "Interesting." Oen's being flickered out of existences itself, just to reappear ten feet away. The Oen that touched the black hole, was dead, or never truly existed in the first place. While Oen was walking towards the man, he set a 'save point' a fixed point in time in which he could return to.

The Oen whom now stood ten feet from the black hole armored monk put his palm down towards the ground, feeling what was still under the surface before lifting his palm up to the monk. "Luck perhaps? Fate? who knows." The area around the black monk started to ripple, the ground under the mans feet turned to dust then faded until the man would be floating in air. "Your defense is not perfect, tho it is one of the strongest I have seen." As Oen talked no doubt would the man feel his armor growing weaker, Oen wasn't attacking the armor with matter, or energy, rather, he was manipulating time itself around it. Black holes are truly powerful, but they weakens and die just like all things, it simply takes...time.

"Perhaps you misunderstand my appearance here" Came a voice like crystal from within the warping exterior of darkness. "I do not seek to validate anything, nor do I wish to protect these worlds... But the loss of life with no greater purpose than a whim is an ending I can not allow. I will not tolerate the absolute ignorance you display towards those in the cosmos who are gifted with inevitable death" The words fell from unmoving lips; passed through almost entirely solidified space, through the skin of singularity, and into the world beyond, and as they were freed from their prison, Gabriel allowed himself a very casual glance upward at the stars.

Some greater contemplation occured; though it would not last beyond an instant, as the new foe approached and sought to touch him directly. Such an idea would not bode well for the being, but Gabriel was not about to stop the contact. For in the moment the being reached the event horizon; the point where all matter was compressed, where light itself could no longer escape, his finger, or hand, or entire arm, would be pulled into the collapsing event and be lost forever. Not dead, not erased, compressed into a quantum realm where all time and space are meaningless. Eternally lost to the infinite spaces between molecules, atoms, beyond the grip of physical law.

Gabriel waited with lackluster attention to the man as the contact occurred, and the warping energies of his own body, the pull of the great collapsing defense, began their assault on his flesh and form. What would happen would happen, and whatever occured, Gabriel would not be caught off guard.

(Why thank you)

Oen watched as the mans very body changed, allowing the particles to pass through him, or rather, allowed his body to allow holes to allow the particles to pass through. Once the man became whole again, he wasn't the same, instead he took on a blacken formed, but just as the start of the battle, the man did nothing, he stood in his stance looking at Oen, to what end, Oen could careless. "I go bored of you already, you are as interesting as a cockroach that wont die." A cockroach to Oen, was more interesting then humans, less frail, not as weak, but still uninteresting, all was uninteresting, nothing surprised Oen, nothing scared him, nothing even fueled him into wants or needs, he simply, was. Oen took a step towards the man, Oens image flickering, slightly before settling as he moved closer to the man. "It is clear this battle will only end in the destruction of this world, if not the system itself. Its odd, a being filled with such rage and anger at me killing mere humans is willing to allow trillions of life forms to fade, in the hope of...punishing me? Or is it a good fight you seek? Trivial, hoping to prove your worth, validate your self worth."

As Oen closed the distant he stopped roughly ten feet from the now black monk. "Do you realize how pointless this all is? I promise you, you can not kill me, death holds no meaning, but I feel you know this." Oen looked around the burning village. "Such a simple thing, life, death, existence itself." Oen waved his hand and the buildings started to fall apart like the villagers he killed, turning into dust to be carried away by the wind, leaving nothing but a flat land around them. "Tell me, can you truly say you exists?" Oen looked at the man. "No, I think not, though, none of can." Oen started to walk closer to the man once more until he was just a arms length away. Oen brought up his hand to simply touch the man on the forehead. A meaningless gesture in itself, but it contact was made, the 'shell' around the man would break apart, the atoms being ripped away like tissue.

(Well played XD)

Gabriel could feel it; the unmistakeable assault on his insides, on his organs, his lungs to be precise, and when the compression started, he was taken by surprise for a moment. His adversary had went for the kill so quickly after a simple jabbing attack. An odd thing to do in a battle where you knew little about the opponent. Nevertheless, Gabriel would react in kind to his opponents attempt with his own, but first he would let slip another portion of his expertise. Another small glimpse into what he could truly do.

As the condensing and moving particles rose up in his lungs; though he had no need of air or breathing anymore: The organs but a reminder of his original created form, Gabriel's physical body stopped humming entirely and separated molecule from molecule. Turning solid into gas; while still maintaining the physical appearance of solidity, he allowed the particles to pass unhindered through his form and be compressed once more into nothingness as they left. Surely this attack would have killed most other beings; any who required oxygen or an atmosphere to survive would have already died though, as his own aura had already compressed those essential mortal staples around him.

As he settled back into a physical state though, the humming did not return, and the difference in his stature was immediately evident. His body appeared like darkness itself; his white robe vanquished by the shifting shadows that now warped into existence around him, and as the field of compression reeled inward and intensified, all that was left was a silhouetted figure void of light, sound, or atmosphere nearby. His impenetrable defense; that of the collapsing star, would prove far more useful in this fight than any other attack he could come up with on the fly, and as his opponent thought so little of him at that point, Gabriel was inclined to continue the defensive posture.

Oens expression didn't change, the mans threats to him, were empty, pain meant nothing, death meant nothing. Even if the man defeated Oen, killed him, it would mean nothing. "So be it." Oen uncrossed his arms and put his palm face up, slowly black matter formed floating just above his skin, no bigger then a marble. "Your words are meaningless." The black marble fell to the ground as Oen tilted his hand, the marble melted and seeped into the ground as if it was water, leaving no signs it was there. "Your threats are meaningless." Oen brought his eyes up to the man once more, facing his palm outwards. "You are meaningless."

Oen no longer concentrated on the area around the monk, but rather, what was in the monks very body. Every breeze carries particles, every breath brings in these particles, and these particles get trapped in the body, settling in the lungs over the years of life, it wasn't much, but it could be enough. Oen closed his hand slowly, as he did this the particles in the mans lungs would start to condense, making it harder to breath, not allowing the lungs to expand or contract, depriving the man of oxygen. Oen then, opened his hand calling forth the particles to rip through the mans lungs, organs and body itself, calling for it to return to the air that carried it into the mans lungs.

"How long" Started Gabriel "Will you prod and poke before you attack in earnest... Oen" He spoke as though nothing had happened; no initial attack, and as the near unseen needle of compressed sand formed before his forehead and sought to skewer his skull, he continued without faltering. "I am not one with a grand amount of patience, but if testing me is your way of determining whether I am worthy... I promise... I am" With his last word he took a step forward into the already thrusting needle of sand, and as it made contact with his flesh it expanded outward inch by inch. No longer compressing or attacking as a needle would, but instead dissolving into the baser form of sand it had previously been.

"I will oblige you with as many of these trivial attacks as you can muster, but be wary... I will not always defend without assaulting you in return." His tone and demeanor shifted as he once more readied himself and locked onto his opponents location. His body seemed to vibrate; almost humming as the earth underfoot hardened to near impossible levels, and all matter near his body stopped moving in its natural way. Sound stopped leaving his form as the air was compressed and all the molecules nearby were held in a near quantum flux. Slowly his body would begin to disappear as light bent and bowed before his bodies rapidly increasing aura of gravitational manipulation... The longer his foe sought to taunt him, the worse it would get for the new creature...

As the sand broke and fell around the man a small cloud formed, and this cloud allowed Oen to see clearly what was happening. With a simple attack, Oen discovered the man can control the feild of gravity around him, and perhaps further out, an ability that was one of the more annoying ones, but not without it's weakness. Oen turned fully to face the man now, crossing his arms over his chest as the sand settled back to the ground. "Hm, my name, what was it people used to call me." Oen thought for a few seconds trying to recall his name. "Ah yes, it was Oen I believe." Oen crossed his arms over his chest, if crouching was Gabes fighting stance, then this no doubt was Oens.

A small smirk crossed Oens lips as a single needle of sand formed but a hair away from the mans forehead, aiming to pierce the mans skull. Although it was sand, it was as strong as iron, compressed over and over, all with in milliseconds. The air itself always has some kind of sand, dust, floating in it, Oens hope was that the field of gravity couldn't be close to the monk in feat that his body may be crushed by it, nothing more then another test.

The monk laughed with genuine amusement; a soothing and whimsical sound for such a large and capable warrior, as the creature opposite him attacked with nothing more than compressed sand and earth. From below the monk no less. Was it out of disrespect; perhaps a tactic to force the monk out of his stance, or maybe it was simply to gauge his reaction time? Either way, it would not go as the other being anticipated: For as each long and defined sculpture of a weapon rose to stroke up at him, it was utterly obliterated by an unseen force. As if they struck a wall of unseen pressure, each one had its tip blunted and then its shaft shattered as they collapsed against their own force upward.

Such a trivial attack required little to no effort from the seasoned veteran, as they came with meager amounts of energy, and aimed to physically strike through a protective wall of compressed gravity. Each weapon that hit was its own undoing as the remainder of the object could not pass through where the tip was stuck...

"My name is Gabriel... and who might you be?" His voice rang out as the remainder of sand spears fell to dust on the ground and once more the landscape settled into silence. He held his position; focus and determination evident on his face as he spoke, but although his opponents opening attack was weak, he would not begin to believe it to be all the man was capable of. Underestimating an adversary could end a fight before any blows could land, and Gabriel wasnt about to take any chances.

Oen turned to leave, but as he did he could sense one still alive, he slowly turned and locked eyes with a man in all white rage filled the mans very soul, trivial. Oen said no words as the man lowered his guard, his stance was that of a style long lost, one Oen hasn't seen in, not even he can recall. A challenge? This was truly interesting, it has been some time since Oen has been in a battle worth while, or rather, one that lasted. Oen looked at the man with no emotion in his eyes, not rage, or fear, just nothingness. It as clear the man in white would not attack first, it was up to Oen to strike first. Oen tilted his head back slightly to look at the stars above him once more, his body in a straight position, his arms by his side.

"And so it goes, beings of power believing they to matter, that what they do makes a difference." Oen never brought his eyes to the man, it was not a show of disrespect, nor one of thinking he was better, it was just, him. As Oen spoke the ground beneath the monk **** and a dozen of sand spears struck upwards at the man, a simple trick but the fight was just starting. Oen knew the man would dodge the spikes, there were to many signs the attack was coming, and the man seemed to be a season warrior. "What is your name?"

The white clad monk; wreathed in flitting shadows that cast elongated lines against his pale garb, shook his head in disgust. He had arrived whilst the small village burned, and when the savage assault by an unknown being tore the life away from those who sought to defend their homes, the man rose to a standing position and began to move. His steps were as the shadows that licked at his form; without sound and without pressure on the ground below, and as he neared the one who had desecrated the human world with his power, the would-be monk pulled back his hood and locked eyes with the target of his newly found anger. The creature who sought to teach humans of their failings, and slew them without regard.

Gabriel let his brilliant azure eyes rage with power; the orbs of intensely spinning hues twisting and shaking as he casually spun up the sleeves of his robe and revealed his two hands. Both of which held no weapon, but with which many a being had been utterly obliterated. He lowered his stance; shifting his weight to a point far lower than what a mortal man could: Gravity itself seeming to concrete his stance and further increase his stoic pose. He pressed one palmed hand forward, the other held close to his chest, as a menacing smile was born upon his features, and a challenging nod addressed the being opposite of him.... He would not strike first, but he would be prepared to strike in retalliation

Battle of the forgotten
« Reply #1 on: February 12, 2016, 12:32:47 pm »
A single man stood in the middle of a burning village, the flames licking the night sky, a small mob of people around him pointing spears and swords at him. The man was known as Oen, his expression was that of boredom, his eyes gazing as the brightly display of stars above. "You humans are so, simple minded, so blind to how truly weak and frail you are." Oen lowered his head to look at the twenty men around him. "You fight, n bicker, rage wars, and destroy your land just to try to prove you truly exist, that you have control over your life and those around you." As Oen was speaking one of the men lunged at him driving a spear through his gut ripping it through his flesh until his hands where against Oen's stomach. "But you are blind, you are mistaken, nothing you do matters." Oen, despite being run through with a spear, shed no blood nor showed any signs of pain. "You very lives, are meaningless, no more important then a speck of sand." The man who speared Oen, couldn't move, couldn't retreat, he was over come with fear, his body wouldn't listen. "I shall return you all to the spectrum." Oen slowly lifted his hand up and touched the man on the forehead with a single finger, like a sand castle being washed away by the waves, the mans very being slowly broke apart, turning into what looked like smoke before disappearing competently.

At the sight of their friend dying, the rest of the mob started to flee in all directions, Oen's eyes returned to the night sky above. "Even your fear is meaningless." As Oen said this, they all stopped moving, a blank expression passing over their faces, their eyes becoming void as if they have seen god himself. "Life is meaningless, pointless, allow me to rib you of this burden. I truly hope you all join into something more meaningful, something that matters." A breeze passed through the village, as it gently passed over the villagers they started to fall apart just as the first man did, drifting away with the wind with out a sound. "You humans are the luckiest of all creatures, you have escape, you can have death." Oen reached down and pulled the spear from his gut, his wound, even his clothing closing yuo in seconds. "You all can return to the spectrum of the universe."
