Tranquila noticed the distinctive personality traits of the two who kept her company at the bar. The woman, Kadira was very chipper and expressed her bubbly attitude outwardly without any care of the strangers in the area or the one she just invited to share her food with. This was actually putting Tranquila at ease. The man seemed reserved; in any other setting, the man would seem have been to himself, according to Tranquila anyway. The dynamics of the relationship through body language seemed to suggest that, even though John was the quiet macho type, Kadira was the one keeping him together. She noticed the hand on his knee before her eyes returned back toward them.

John's tone seemed condescending in a way as he spoke to Tranquila. It was as if he was trying to communicate with a child. She understood that it was a language barrier, but he didn't have to be so insulting in his tone. Of course, Kadira corrected him before Tranquila had the time to actually reply to his question. Her eyebrows, however, had the time to furrow due to his lack of sensitivity. Through this all, it was discovered that Kadira spoke a little Portuguese, which pleased the woman and made her tanned face light up in excitement. "A drink, is nice.." She said before her attention was stolen by Kadira again asking for a dance. Of course, Tranquila could dance and loved to as well, but she didn't know how to dance to this kind of music. But, oh well. Why not have a little fun and bonding time while out on a mission to find her sister, no? Maybe they could be of some substantial help. The person she asked previously lead her here knowing that it was a popular spot in which someone might know her sister. Standing to her feet, Tranquila kicked her shoes off and took Kadira's hand. "I'll try.. This music not what I know.."

She smiled. "Well it's very nice to meet you Connal. It's nice to find conversation in this place. I wasn't expecting to stay very long anyway. I didn't know a room like this existed for a place like this. It's not usually a place I go. But I'm glad I did." She chuckled and took a drink of her beer. "It's a nice change from the ordinary."

She thought about her home life. It wasn't the greatest. And most normal people would run. But not her. She had to deal with it. She had to be the adult about it. Even if she had to put her own life on hold for it. She wished she could do something with her music. It used to be her dream to sing her songs on a stage in front of a building full of people. But instead she would go every day. Singing her songs in the park. Just to make a few extra dollars. She couldn't keep a job because she needed a flexible schedule to deal with her family life. She looked across the table at Connal. What it would be like to find someone. To share her life with. But she didn't have time for that. She had a family to take care of.

She moved through the crowd behind him, the whole time her insides tangling and her brain screaming at her that she shouldn't be here. This wasn't her type of thing. She should have just went to the bar or something. Maybe it wouldn't have been so crowded. All of her doubts however, soon faded away, when he lead her into the room in the back, which for the most part was quite, aside the scattered people talking. This wasn't half bad. She let out a relieved sigh.  The tattoo on his arm was really interesting. She wished she could get a better look at it.

He explained that the room was sound proof for those who didn't really get into the music. She nodded and followed him as he lead her to a table, taking a seat in the chair he pulled out. For the first time she lifted her beer to her lips, the cool bitter liquid flowing between them. It was just what she needed. She sat her beer down and smiled across the table to him. "I don't believe I had a chance to tell you my name. It's Rae." She extended her hand across the table to him.

She tried to tell him not to pay for it, that she would, but her voice was lost to the crowd. She didn't mind being paid for, but she  wasn't money hungry either. So she stood there, chewing her lip till her drink got there. Out of the corner of her eye she watched him. Her eyes dragging up and down his body for a minute, the looking back away before anyone could notice. He was cute. She had to give him that. But what was he really like? She wouldn't be able to talk to him. Not in this crowd over the noise. She would have to find a quiet little spot in the back or something.

As if he read her mind he suggested just that. He could take her to a much quieter area, where she could enjoy her beer and have a quiet conversation. Something she didn't expect to find in a club like this. Hell she didn't even plan to stay very long. This wasn't her scene. She knew that she stuck out like a sore thumb among them. She was one of the few females in here that had her breasts covered. She nodded to him. "I think that would be nice. It's a little loud out here for my taste."

She waved her arm, yelling a couple times, her voice being drowned by the crowd. She sighed. This was no way to get anyone's attention. Not when there was cleavage as far as the eye could see. She herself had a small little b-cup set of breasts herself. She thought that was enough herself. Personally. Her arm started getting tired and she realized she probably wasn't going to get his attention. She needed a new tactic. Move down more in front of the bartender or something. When a hand touched her shoulder, she turned to apologize for bumping into someone.

The man standing there before her was quite good looking. She returned his smile and wave. "Hey." She said above the music. She wasn't expecting the inward reaction she had to his thick accent. A warm burst within her chest. She hadn't even realized his hand was still on her shoulder till he moved it. She waited for him to finish his order to the bartender before leaning over to tell him she herself wanted a beer. She might go for something else later. But she was starting the evening slow.

Rae tossed her guitar case on her bed. She opened it and counted the bills to herself. She must have done really good today. She had close to three hundred. This was reason for celebration. She hadn't been out in a while so it would be a treat. She looked at herself in the mirror. Her short brown hair was hidden by her hat, black shirt with grey stripes hung loosely from her shoulders, the white tank-top underneath offering just the right amount of class to it. She had purple capri-cut leggings on and purple sandles on as well. Well, she didn't look all too terrible. She threw on some mascara quick, not taking much time for her make up.

She walked out into the living room, leaning down to kiss her mother on the cheek. She looked up. "How much did you make today baby?" Rae bit her lip. She didn't want to lie to her mother, but she knew in their financial position, going out for drinks was not in the budget. "About a hundred and sixty." She said. 'Kelly and James in bed?" She nodded toward the hall where her brother and sister lay sleeping in their rooms on either side of it. 'Yeah, hand me my smoke and my cigarettes." Rae reached over and grabbed the bowl, already packed and the pack of cigarettes beside it. This was something they could not afford but her mother was the exception to the rule. She pulled out a hundred and forty five dollars and handed it to her mother. "Here ya go Mamma, I'm gonna walk down to the gas station, get a soda and go meet Kas. I'll be back later." Her mother stomped her foot and coughed. It was a smokers cough but Rae just looked the other way avoiding it. "I know, we don't have the money. Here, she handed her five and and slipped out the door.

She loved her family, but she needed a break. Heading directly to the night club. She hadn't been there yet, but she had heard nothing but good things so she hoped it would be a nice break from the ordinary drink at a bar. When she arrived she could hear the music loudly outside. Then when she stepped in, it overtook her, becoming a roar over the people who packed in there. Maybe this wasn't a good idea. She sighed. No, she wasn't leaving. She headed over to the bar and stretched her arm out the way other people were doing to get the bar tenders attention. But the bar tender didn't seem to notice her over the crowd.

Listening to Kadira, he chuckled and nodded; wondering if she had future aspirations, John tilted his head as he listened. This woman he'd only met moments ago seemed more interesting now, but he'd no idea what to say to her and that bothered him. "I suppose you're right." Then, pausing, he smiled and when she spoke again, he smiled. "You're welcome. I do apologize for my previous actions, they have been distasteful. As a way to make it up to you, I think I should at least buy you another drink, or something."

Looking to Kadira, picking up on how she spoke to the new woman, John nodded to himself; having understood what to do. When Tranquilia spoke 'Columbia' he nodded and attempted another offer. "Tranquilia drink?" Of course, when he spoke, he picked up a glass and made the motion of drinking in hopes that she'd understand what he was asking. Then, he spoke again. "I pay." Then, he nodded; smiling, hopeful that she'd understand what he was attempting to ask. "Comprendo? Si?" In truth, he felt like he'd make a complete fool of himself, but it was the best he could do; for someone who didn't even speak her language and still try to be respectful and hospitable.

"Yes, but hings like Satelite and he internet are quickly replacing traditional forms of communication." Kadira explained. "Nowadays people only get newspapers to collect the coupons and read the comics..." She got the insinuation he was making when he said such a career was boring for her. She heard it all the time. She should be a reporter, or someone who's in front of the camera. It wasn't that she wouldn't love a position like that. But she knew it wasn't realisic. She had seen pictures of every news anchor Fox News had ever had. They all looked the same. Blonde hair, blue eyes, Thin and 25-32. There was no way a brown skinned, volumptuous woman like Kadira could ever break that mold. Sadness filled her eyes for only a second before, she shook her head. "I don't think it's boring at all!" she said. Everyone had a path to follow. And she had chosen hers.

Kadira wasn't sure if John was flirting with her, or just being friendly, but she had surely never been complimented on her giggle before. "Thank you!" She shirped, tilting her head to the side slightly. He wasn't out of he dog house just yet. But she had to say, he was a hard one o figure out.

"Tranquila!" Kadira repeated excitedly. "That's such a pretty name!" She took a bite out of one of the wings, just as the newcomer came to realize what she was saying to her. "Aww!!!" She was so cuuuuuuteee! She barely spoke english! Kadira recognized the language the woman spoke as either Spanish or Portugese, she could seldom ell the difference, but she knew that "Comprendo" cound be translated to "Understand" in either language. She slid a few wings onto a small plate for Tranquila and smiled to her happily. "Where are you from?" She asked. She couldn't help but to be curious about the girl. It wasn't every day she met someone just arriving in the country.

Tranquila was about to lose all hope in finding her sister,Chantel; this phantom that she had only met once. She knew that her father got around and it was a daughter from a random hook up while he was over seas. The woman decided to keep the girl to herself due to the fact that her father's obligations kept him in their native country. She was in a place where the language was new to her; she only knew how to say a few basic words and understood a few more than that, but it was still a barrier blocking her from finding adequate direction. She sighed to herself as she plots her next move and from seeing how the place was emptying out, she figured that her time was limited.

Her thoughts were instantly pulled away from her as she heard a woman call out. Looking around, she noticed the couple sitting somewhat near her. The deep brown eyes locked with her own dark green and from that moment, she knew it was her they were speaking to. Forcing her self to break eye contact, she noticed the patted seat next to them and the plate of food before them. She was starving; haven't eaten in what seemed like days. Moving to the spot and taking the seat next to them, she tried her best to understand what the woman was saying. "W-Wings.?" She repeated trying to understand what she meant by that. Surely the woman couldn't fly? Or was that some type of fancy word for something? Trying to wrap her head around it, the woman introduced herself. "Kadira.. John..." She said, hoping that it turned out correctly. "Tranquila.." She responded, offering a nod to the both of them while nervously twisting her dark locks with one hand. Eyes slowly maneuvering from the couple to the food. Then, it clicked. "WINGS!" Tranquila exclaimed as she finally noticed and understood what Kadira was talking about. ("Ohh. I understand now!") The woman said in her native language of Portuguese.

Even through her troubled past: The moving around, getting into trouble, and other things, this would be easy for her. But, she found it hard considering that the moving around wasn't to another country! This was nerve wrecking and exciting all at the same time! "Looks good.." She said, remembering things that she had learned from her father. Why would they just call her over and offer her food? She would have to be careful around these two for the time being; but hunger was defeating her brain at the moment...

Watching the barista and Andres leave, John shook his head and rolled his eyes in disbelief. 'Wow, what a lovely fuckin' couple.. Captain ego, and the barista. Gee. Didn't see that coming.' He shrugged the thought off, deciding he couldn't care less since to be perfectly honest, he didn't; there were other fish in the sea.'Oh well. Her loss.' With that, hand grasping the depleting bottle, he brings the acidic nectar to his lips and takes another sip; placing it back down on the counter.

Looking to Kadira, hearing her speak of getting into Andro's pants, John snickers and tilts his head. "I wouldn't mind that, myself." He chuckled, watching her. When the woman asked what he'd been in school for, he smiled. "Computer sciences and engineering. Basically, I build computers, and computer networks. But, enough about that, what about you?"

Then, not meaning to interrupt his conversation with Kadira, John silently gasped at the woman.. no.. the goddess who strode through the doors. She seemed almost too beautiful for words, almost otherworldly; breathtaking. She didn't order anything, though, and he wondered why, though it would've been rude to ask her why she hadn't. So, trying to be polite, he smiled and spoke a single word; knowing she may not understand. "Hello."
