After confirming that he wouldn't be able to talk with Aoife as planned, Jasper returned to his room. He thought about going to the workout room, but he was suddenly in no mood to interact with people, and it semed quite crowded. So instead he plopped down on his bed and looked at the ceiling. He wished he could continue his book, but he had left it in Aoife's room, and couldn't return there without her, so instead his watched his ceiling fan, the somber, blue color in his eyes imitating the patern of a swirling windmill. Day Three...

The room seemed darker when Jasper arrived than when he had left the night before. It wasn't the actual light though, it was the energy he had carried in with him. It was somber, and saddening. But Jasper wasn't just sad. He was reflective. Was what he said to Aoife that bad? It wasn't like he was telling her to get drunk and dance on a table! He just wanted her to spend time with people other than him. He wanted her to enjoy herself and have fun while they were there...

It was then that he thought of something that Shay always used to tell him. That his problem was his attitude. Did Aoife think he was bossy? His thoughts clowded his mind so completely that he didn't even remember getting into the shower. He didn't even realize it until the water was running over his face. He really just hoped that he hadn't messed this thing up before it even started. God knows he had messed up enough things already...

His explanation was reasonable, but his experience in the areas Aoife had no experience in was daunting--he could do so much better, why was he settling with her? They were far better looking, more experienced women out on the rooftop, yet here he was, offering to give her a piggy back ride downstairs to her room, an act so innocent and childish it could’ve made her laugh--especially compared to the people on the roof doing god-knows-what at the party. In a sense, Aoife was glad Jasper hadn’t gone back to the party. Thinking about him canoodling with those other, beautiful, women made her jealous. Hopefully he couldn’t read that from her face.

As gracefully as she could, Aoife climbed onto his back, legs wrapped firmly around his waist to prevent her from slipping down and her arms wrapped loosely around his neck so as to not choke him to death. After a little shifting she found a comfortable position, lazily laying her cheek on his broad shoulders; she would allow herself that much. They would still be housemates after all, she would do her best to make him feel comfortable around her whenever they were together. As that thought crossed her mind her right hand reached down, fingers dancing across his chest in a ticklish manner. “Since you know that I’m ticklish I think it’s only fair that you tell me if you’re ticklish or not.”

Perhaps some gentle teasing would lighten the suddenly serious and somber mood. “You’ve been a good doctor too. I’ll make you breakfast tomorrow as thanks, okay?” From her position Aoife managed to turn her head and look at him, though little space remained separating their faces. “And because you’ve been so nice to me I’m willing to take requests and make whatever you want.” A smile turned the corners of her lips upward, hazel eyes sparkling with the light of an emotion unknown to her.

The calm that had come over Jasper was unusual. the air that traveled through his nostrils seemed to carry relaxation properties that he had never experienced. Or perhaps it was the company he kept. He listened closely for Aoife's answer, and smiled to himself as he heard it. "Experienced, huh?" He guessed that made sense. The confidence he carried, as well as the way the media had followed him. It was a natural conclusion to come to. He had been on again off again with Shay for quite some time. And after they realized that they had both joined the house, Shay left. He had probably dodged a bullet with that one...

Aoife described their interactions with each other as "scary." Jasper could understand that too. He tried to imagine being in her position; Being so timid, and unsure of yourself, while attracting the attention of someone who was so confident and certain. Would he have been able to carry himself as well as she had? And what if she had a reputation like his? He had to admit, his past was going to make this difficult.  With a heavy sigh, he finally spoke up. "I understand. 'Experienced' may be a good way to describe me, in a way. But being more experienced really just means that I've made more mistakes, and failed more times. The truth is, it doesn't get any less scary with experience. It just gets worse." His eyes had turned to a somber blue... "Do you don't have to feel like you're alone."

Around that time, Aoife suggested it was time for her to head back. Jasper wanted to object, to tell her she didn't have to go, and ask her to stay. But he had probably put her through enough mental struggle already, between the outing to the gardens, and the kiss. He decided the best thing to do was to let her go. But there was that one pesky problem. "Alright." He said, standing to his feet and kneeling down one final time. "I'll take you back." There was no way she'd make it all the way downstairs on that ankle, that was, unless she toppled down them. They would figure everything out soon. For now,it seemed it would soon be time to say good night.

Hazel eyes slid shut when he rested his head atop hers, a calm moment that vanished far too quickly for her likings. A deep breath was inhaled when he asked his question; Aoife took that time to construct a worthy enough answer. “You’re experienced...” It was the first thing that came to her head; the fluid way he eased into that kiss, the confidence and surety with which he initiated the intimate moment and took control of it. Jasper was no city man, he was a cowboy and this wasn’t his first rodeo. Not to mention, despite the lengths she takes to ignore any media rumors, Aoife has heard of his multiple relationships in the past, which helped her formulate her answer.

“You’re so sure of yourself—confident—that it’s almost unsettling.” Pearly white teeth captured her bottom lip to chew on it in thought. “But you’re so humble. That’s what makes it so scary.” Makes it so scary for her to go along with it all; those secret kisses and intimate moments they spent so close together. But it was his fault. He made it so easy for her to fall victim to his charm. The way he took the lead made her trust him and believe he wouldn’t lead her astray. Should she trust him? Surely if things kept going as they were Aoife would fall into something far more dangerous than being friends.

“It’s getting late. I should probably go back to my room…” Resistance was the only option. Putting distance between the two would make it easier to resist the feelings inside her. With that Aoife pulled herself away from him and sat up, eyes unable to meet his.

Jasper wasn't surprised when Aoife maintained a little distance as she turned around. She was the introvert out of the two after all, it wasn't surprising that she may have been a bit apprehensive. But all things given, she was quite open with him, considering she couldn't even stay in a room with several people for too long. "What else?" It seemed she intended to probe him about this one. It was fine. He would tell her anything she wanted to know. "You told me that you're hesitant. And that this is new to you..." His voice was calm and soothing, no signs of teasing at that point. But then, came a small chuckle. "Oh, and that you're ticklish."

He didn't try to tickle her though. His mood had turned to a very calm and relaxed one, as opposed to the playful one that he had portrayed to her when they were in the garden. She would suffer at his hands soon, but for now, she was safe...

It seemed she realized that, as she gradually moved closer to him, until her read rested on his shoulder. his head turned slightly, resting atop her's for just a moment, perhaps out of acknowledgement of her presence, before returning to it's natural position. Maybe it was his way of letting her know that she was welcome in his space. To be honest, even he didn't know. It was one of those movements that a person takes instinctively, without intent or purpose. "Did I tell you anything interesting?" He couldn't help but ask. After all, she was surely forming conclusions just as he was...

Aoife had a sneaking suspicion that Jasper noticed that she was ticklish. Another plan began to formulate in her head to keep him from tickling her; ask as many questions as possible and do anything to keep him distracted! All systems are go.

After he rolled over Aoife followed behind, the blush all but forgotten as she lay on her side facing him, only a few inches separating her cheek from his shoulder. “What else?” She queried, staying on the topic of their kiss. She was no longer embarrassed or shy about it; he was one-hundred percent right about it so what was the point in denying it? Besides, if she did it could provoke some teasing, which could lead to tickling. Goodness gracious, she didn’t want him to tickle her. The laughing snorts would be so embarrassing! And with all the flailing she’d do he would probably get punched in the face or hit in his... precious spot. That embarrassment she wouldn’t be able to live with.

The woman hesitantly scooted closer. His posture was so open--so inviting--she found such an opportunity too hard to dismiss. They just kissed, what harm was there in a little cuddling? At least they weren’t doing something completely risque that required little to no clothing. Aoife couldn’t even think of doing that; kissing was stretching it, but there was something about him that had her gravitating to him, had her cautiously resting her cheek against his shoulder, a hand lightly resting on his chest. There was something...

So she was sticking to the lawyer thing.  Ok. Jasper could deal with that. Besides,  he had just noticed something far more interesting... A sinister grin firmed behind Aoife's back as she jerked away from him.  She was ticklish! This was infinitely useful information. But he wouldn't let her know that he had realized it.  Not yet at least.

He rested the base of his chin on her shoulder as he contemplated how to answer her question. She had told him many things through her actions... But which ones should he relay?  "You told me..." He paused for a second before continuing.  "That you wanted me to kiss you.  But also that you weren't expecting it." That seemed to be a reasonable answer.  And now for the icing.  "That sounds a lot like a crush to me! "

He then rolled over into his back once more,  as not to invade her personal space for too long. He folded his hands behind his head,  keeping his posture open,  should Aoife decide to come out of her shell and join him. "It's a weird feeling to be honest. But i kind of like it!"

The bed shifted as he moved to peer over her shoulder. She could tell by the sound of his voice that he was thoroughly enjoying this whole situation--in more ways than one. He may have asked a rhetorical question, but Aoife conjured up a response anyway, one just a playful if not slightly embarrassed. "I already told you that I can't answer questions without my lawyer present." She snapped back, body arching away from his finger as he poked her side. Goodness, no. Aoife was one hell of a ticklish girl, and she hated being tickled. If he started tickling her she wouldn't forgive him. To turn his attention away from the way her body moved away from his prodding finger, which ultimately hinted at her ticklish nature, Aoife blurted out the first thing her mind could think of; a question, though whether it was as helpful as she wanted it to be would soon be found out. "Tell me what I told you?" Obviously alluding back to the chaste yet passionate kisses they shared moments ago. It was the first thing that popped into her mind and the second she said it she regretted asking. An idiot she was.

She had, indeed, told Jasper everything she needed to know in the way that she reacted to him. Her slow reaction told him that she wasn't prepared. Once her wits returned to her, the way she kissed him back, as well as the way she placed her hands told him the kiss was welcomed, and the way she kissed him the third time told him it was encouraged. But when she told him that she hadn't told him anything, he didn't argue. He simple laughed quietly as she hid her face from him, and then turned away from him. She was adorable! He peeked his head over her shoulder and smiled as he whispered. "Hey you... Are you hiding?" He poked her side playfully as he teased her, enjoying this moment thoroughly.

Aoife was just about to reply with some witty quip when his hand slid under her cheek and guided her head up off of the pillow. Confusion was the first thing that registered in her mind, and while she was a little slow on the uptake her body acted accordingly, neck stretching the several millimeters needed to connect their lips a second sooner. Halfway into the kiss she finally realized what was happening, but by then she was too far gone. Their lips parted and she didn’t need to be guided back in for the next kiss. Her hand moved to cup the side of his neck, thumb tracing the defined angle of his jaw for the rest of the second and all of the third kiss.

During the kisses her eyes had fallen shut, submitting both her mind and body to him. When they parted and he spoke her eyes would open, some unknown emotion sparkling deep within her orbs as she took in the light red of his. What could that color possibly mean? Aoife had a few guesses. “I didn’t tell you anything.” She said in a slow exhale of breath, realization finally setting in. Goosebumps prickled all across her skin; heart sped up its rhythm, anticipation and panic danced around in her stomach. She couldn’t believe what just happened. By now her whole body was flushing with something other than embarrassment, and with a small squeak Aoife buried her face back into his pillow to hide her flush and her secret excitement, rolling onto her other side so he couldn’t see her face. On screen Aoife would be cool and composed in a situation like this, but this was no movie, it was real life. And in real life she acted much the way a school girl would, embarrassed, shy, and excited all wrapped up in one weird burrito that decided to plop down in her stomach.

Jasper couldn't help but laugh to himself as Aoife buried her face in his pillow.  He couldn't help but imagine her sa middle school girl who had just gotten off the phone with her crush! It was at that moment that Jasper realized just what it was about Aoife that appealed to him over the other girls.  As opposed to A'Naili,  who was the glamorous diva,  or Kadira,  who seemed like the wild  homecoming Queen who had stumbled into Fane,  she was simply more... human.  She was relatable,  and not defined by the cameras.

When she refused to respond to his accusation without the presence of "her lawyer," a deep,  powerful blue filed his left Iris, while the pink maintained it's presence in his right. "Is that so? " He asked,  as his left hand glided to lift her head from the pillow,  and he leaned forward to press his lips firmly against hers. He wasn't aggressive.  His lips here soft,  and certain,  and though there was no tongue involved,  it was one of those kisses that simply calls for another.  When they're lips parted, they reattached once more,  as his right hand instinctively found it's way to the woman's waist. Ayer the second kids,  a third,  before he finally pulled away and looked at her with two perfect,  light red eyes. "You just told me everything i need to know. " The meaning behind his statement depended entirely on if,  and the way that she kissed him back,  but regardless,  it would be perfectly clear...

When he opened his eyes the blush was gone, but his cheeks were that pink color he told her about the other day, only causing her cheeks to darken this time in realization. Gosh. It was so unfair! Aoife deflated, her body laying limp on the bed, though it remained just as close to him as before, and her teasing smile turned into a pout. At his teasing she huffed in defiance, though a light of amusement was twinkling in her eyes. She turned over onto her stomach and buried her face into his pillows as if she were trying to hide from him--the pillows were also filled with his smell, his cologne, which she quite liked. "A crush?" With her face pressed into the pillow her words were muffled, so in order to speak clearly to him she turned her head towards him, eyes looking at his chin rather than his own eyes. "I don't have to admit to anything without my lawyer present!" The serious look that was on her face was held up for a few more moments before it was broken with a smile, amused giggled leaving her lips.

As the woman leaned closer to him, the peach and yellow in the man's eyes began to be overrun by the pink that was previously only rippling from his iris. This wouldn't be noticeable at first because Jasper had closed his eyes. He took a deep breath, and the folor faded from his face, before he opened them once more and looked directly into the woman's eyes. "I don't know what you're talking about." He said, with a confident grin. It was as if he had never lost his composure! but now, solid pink eyes looked dead into those of the woman that lay only inches away.  "A crush, huh?" His smile softened. as he enjoyed the feeling of her hand against the side of his face.  "That may be true. But I think you may just be in the same boat with me, irresistible creature?" it was clear in his tone on the last two words that he was teasing the woman in return. He was back in control. It didn't take long at all...

“Of course! What guy doesn’t want to see two hot girls kissing?” She was just plain old Aoife, nothing special--she surely wouldn’t go around kissing girls. Aoife couldn’t help but to feel... special when he decline her assumption, her lips tilting in a small smile of appreciation as her eyes wandered over his face. Following his lead, Aoife turned onto her side as well, facing him with a raised brow of challenge as he continued speaking. What he said completely surprised her, pale pink lips parting to form that small ‘o’ shape.  Did he really just say that? And was he really blushing right in front of her? She also noticed just how attractive that blush looked on him, though such thoughts would never spill out of her lips.

Aoife took advantage of the opportunity; it was time for pay back. She scooted closer to him, arm outstretched, with a playful smile on her face. “Forget about the book.” Fingers gently pinched his cheek as she leaned in towards him playfully, teasingly. “Do my eyes deceive me, or are you blushing?” Soft giggles spilled from her lips, her fingers stopping their pinching so her hand could cradle his cheek for a few seconds before dropping back down onto the bed. “I was going to get something and make you read to me, but I must admit it is quite a change seeing the blush on your cheeks this time.” Now he knew what it felt like to be on the receiving end of his teasing, though she was sure she was far worse than he. “And if I’m not mistaken, I believe you’ve developed a crush on me; I understand why, too. I am an irresistible creature, if I do say so myself.” It was all said in good humor, light teasing, hopefully to embarrass him further and get more of a reaction out of him.

Jasper raised an eyebrow, accenting peach, pink, and now yellow eyes as he looked down at the woman he had just placed on the bed.  It was her silence in response to his question that brought about the action, though he made no effort to force her to answer him. Instead, he returned to his former position, now looking up at the ceiling, instead of the muted television.  If she was going to lay silently, he could certainly do the same.

It was when she spoke up once again that he turned on his side, and looked at her. "So you think I would have more fun up there watching Kadira and Naili kiss than with youj?" Of course, he realized that there was no doubt that the environment up there had changed by this point but what mattered where he wanted to be. "You were going to go back to your room, and you can't take two steps?" He laughed as he propped himself up on his left arm. "Don't worry about the party! Where I want to be right now is right here on this bed with y-..." He caught himself but it was too late. His eyes trailed off toward the wall, and this time it was -his- face that turned a dark shade of red.  "So... What book were you going to get?"

She could tell he thought her idea of a party was odd. Who would consider reading as a group activity? Parties were meant to have fun at, and reading was fun to Aoife. She'd rather read a good book than play spin the bottle or seven minutes in heaven--she had no doubts that the game on the roof was going to heat up. In fact she was glad she left when she did so she wouldn't be that awkward wall flower standing around when everyone had fun. Speaking of fun...

Aoife didn't put up a fight when he picked her up and placed her back on the bed so she couldn't hurt herself anymore. The blush didn't have a chance to go away, so instead it remained coating her cheeks as she looked up to Jasper. Instead of answering his question she furrowed her brows and gave her bottom lip a contemplating chew. It was obvious to her that the party wasn't her scene but Jasper did say one of the main reasons for coming into the house was to relax and party--he was surely missing a good one. Inhaling a deep breath, Aoife decided to be straightforward and get right to the point. "You said you came here to relax and take a break; you're missing a great party..." She trailed off slightly, looking away from his warm-colored eyes before she would continue, finally giving an answer to his question, although it was a lie. "I was going to go back to my room to read. That way you can go to the party... I don't want to hold you back or anything, don't feel like you have to watch over me." Her nose wrinkled in contempt at herself. "I'll be fine. Go out there an have fun." A forced smile was all she could offer as her warm hazel eyes found his in an attempt to encourage him. "The great Jasper McGill deserves to party!"

It was cute the way that Aoife rambled on about not hurting him, and how he could trust her. They were things that he already knew, but it was good to hear them just the same. Of course, her clumsiness made it almost a guarantee that he would be hurt as a result of her actions at some point. Funny how she was so graceful while playing a role... Even stranger that they had never been cast together... He shook his head, removing the tangent from his mind in order to bring himself back to the conversation at hand. "I know. And I hope you know the same of me..." He could only hope the comfort he felt was reciprocated.

"She's a fan because you're an amazing actress, dummy!" He said, flicking her forehead lightly as he chuckled. "And I don't see why not. If Sachiel can host a party, so can we! Ours will just involve more... Reading." lol! After saying it out loud it didn't sound like much of a party. Reading didn't tend to be much of a group activity.

An inquisitive eyebrow raised as Aoife crawled over him toward the edge of the bed, and surely enough, she made it nowhere before falling over herself and hitting the ground. Jasper couldn't even bring himself to laugh. He just shook his head and kicked his legs around to the floor, where he walked over, and picked the pitiful little woman up in his arms, returning her to her position on the bed. "No walking for you." He said calmly. "What was it you needed?" He didn't know why she didn't just ask in the first place, but then, that was what made her the type of person who constantly hurt herself...

Aoife noticed the pink entering his eyes but she didn’t comment on it, knowing full well what it meant, which only proved to darken the blush on her cheeks. It was unfair how easily her emotions ruled her; keeping herself in check was difficult for her--it made her an open book whereas it was extremely difficult to read Jasper’s expressions, though his eyes gave a lot away if she knew what all of the colors meant. A comforting smile was offered to the man when he explained the meaning on the color, her chest swelling with an unknown feeling. “Good. The last thing I’d want is for you not to feel comfortable around me. You can trust me; don’t ever think I’ll do anything to harm you in any way...” She trailed off, realizing the irony in her words. He hurt himself in her presence already, and she had not a doubt there were more injuries to come should he continue to hang around her but she hoped he could put up with the mild bruises that were bound to happen. Being around him made her happy. Hopefully he felt the same.

“I don’t know why she’s a fan, but I like the idea of a sleep over. We can read! And eat food! And sleep! And...” She trailed off, unable to think of many other things that one could do at a slumber party. “Um.. Watch movies? Though I prefer reading...” She trailed off once more, chewing on her bottom lip in thought. “Reading.. Reading!” The idea suddenly came to her and in all her excitement she crawled over Jasper to get off the bed, though one step on her injured ankle and she stumbled forward, catching her uninjured foot on some invisible, but obviously there, object that sent her tumbling to the floor. A carpet burn on her left elbow and knee with no other injuries. All she wanted to do was go get a book to have him read to her and she ends up tripping on nothing. How seductive.

"What can I say? I'm in high demand!" Jasper said as he feigned his best "Diva" Attitude. One of the things he loved most about Aoife was the banter they had together. She was witty, and she seldom missed a beat. It was what made him feel that her presence was worth missing the party.

When her hand met with the side of his face, it guided his eyes toward hers, and a shade of light pink began to ripple outward from his pupils, as if drops of water were repeatedly landing right in the center of his eye. Seeing her through a peach-pink filter made it difficult for him to notice the pink in her cheeks, but he did notice a slight discoloration, and knew what to assume. "It's hard to explain..." He said. "It's kind of like..." There was a pause, as he attempted to find the words he searched for. "It's kind of like, comfort. Like, a feeling that you're in a safe place maybe, or in trusting company." He gazed into her eyes, long after she had removed her hand from his face, as if he was searching for something, but he never said what it was.

"If you're never ready I guess I'd better get that ankle of yours better so you can walk again!" He said, sticking his tongue out at her before folding his hands behind his head. When she commented on liking his bed better, he thought back to her bed. It was considerably softer than his. Nice for a nap, but probably not the ideal place to sleep every night. "Nah, no trade. But we can have sleep overs if you want!" He laughed like an excited middle school girl. "Slumber parties! We can even invite Kadira! I hear she's your number one fan!" He rolled onto his side as he laughed.  Yeah, this was definitely better than drinking...
