The first day of waiting didn't turn up anything. She didn't see the woman, Mila, the man she was really here for. She was slightly disappointed, but deep down she knew it was going to be a slower process. Over the next couple of days she continued her search. A week after her arrival Dominika decided to try out a small hole-in-the-wall diner for breakfast. She was blending in perfectly as an ordinary tourist from America. No one seemed to pay her too much attention, which was good, nor did they ask too many questions. One young couple did interact with her, though. She didn't mind talking with them as they were pretty laid back. She shared that she recently became a widow when her husband, a wealth businessman dropped dead of a heart attack. She explained this was the trip they were suppose to be taking together as their 5th anniversary gift. The couple seemed very sympathetic and bought every lie she fed them. After talking, the bid each other farewell and went on their own ways.

Dominika decided to walk to the near-by town square to see what sort of small shops were around. While looking around a brunette woman caught her eye. Dom thought that the lady could be Mila, the woman seen with Clint AKA Andrei. Dominkia made her way slowly through the crowd towards the being. As she closed in, she confirmed it was, in fact, Mila. When she reached the booth Mila was standing in front of, Dom turned and gasped. " Oh I just love your dress!" She exclaimed in the perfect southern accent. " It is just to die for, and compliments your skin tone so well." She smiled  and lightly touched the fabric. "I must have one." she continued, luring the woman into the conversation. She knew flattery and compliments were the way to go when trying to get a woman's attention and interest. Mila seemed shocked at first, but then lowered her guard down ad smiling. "oh, thank you" Mila said with a hint of a German accent. "I bought it at a small boutique on the other side of the square." She lifted her arm and pointed to the far south side of the square. "I'll take you." She offered. Dominika gladly accepted. "Oh will you? God bless." She smiled and moved to follow Mila.

Deep down she could feel her excitement going. Finally, a break in the search. She knew she had to get Mila alone, though. She needed to pry into her mind to get information on Andrei. Once to the shop, Mila introduced her to the owners and showed her around the shop. " this is beautiful." Dom complimented. Mila stopped in front of the rack which held the matching dresses like hers. "Oh thank you." Dom said as she searched for a size that would fit her. While searching, she decided to pick up a small conversation. "I never got your name.." Dom mentioned. " I'm Dominika, but Dom or Nika is fine"

Mila felt surprisingly comfortable with this woman. " What a cool name, I'm Mila" She replied happily. "I've lived here my whole life. I noticed your accent, Nika. What part of America are you from?" She asked. Dom grabbed the size she needed and turned to face Mila, fully. "I'm from Georgia. A large city just south of the Tennessee, Georgia boarder." Mila seemed very interested in learning more about Dom, as Dom was her. They spent the rest of the day shopping and talking with each other until they decided to stop for a late lunch at a restaurant near the marina.

They were seated outside eating when Mila's eyes looked just past Dom and gasped softly. "Oh what a surprise! You're not much for crowds!" She laughed. Dom was slightly confused and turned around to see who Mila was talking to. Her eyes stopped on a man, tall and dressed in jeans in a dark tee-shirt. His hair was short and his eyes were as sharp as a needle, piercing her heart. She recognized him, and would anywhere. This was the reason she was here, for him. Her breath caught in her chest and she had to remind herself to breath and to stay calm. Her body was tingling. She could feel her body cooling off quickly, which caused the glass of tea she was holding on to to start to frost over. When she realized what was going on she quickly let go of the glass and cleared her throat.

Mila stood up and ran to the man, hugging him tightly. "Where have you been?" She smiled and then let him go. " This is my new friend, Nika. She's from America. Georgia to be exact" Mila seemed so happy to have met a woman who seemed to click with her so well. Dominika was surprised as much as excited to have found Andrei as quickly as she did. "Nika, this is Andrei. We are like, best friends." Mila giggled and laid her head on the mans arm. Dom stood slowly and smiled, " Mighty nice to meet you, Andrei." She hoped her knees wouldn't buckle and cause her to fall.

A week later in Jena, Germany.

The seasons were changing over from spring to summer now in Germany and the flowers were full bloom. Dominika strolled along a cobblestone pathway towards BlackBean. She would start there and scope it out for the brunet woman, or even Andrei himself. She knew, even if she saw him, that she couldn't make the move. She had to take her time, infiltrate his new life, gain his trust and likeness, and only then could  she make her move. She figured her wouldn't recognize her as it had been many years since having last seen her. The agency attached 1.5 ft long blonde extensions to her hair, her face was thinner and seemed to have aged a little more since they said their goodbyes, and she carried herself differently. She was no longer that meek little woman, but now a confidant, strong woman.

When she entered the cafe, she was greeted with friendly smiles and a 'welcome'. She ordered an ice water with blackberries and sat off to the side of the building with her face towards the door, waiting. She had her computer with her and a book to make her seem as though she was busy. She was wearing a wire under her blouse and shielded a 9mm on her hip. Now all she had to do was wait and observe.

Briskly she walked as she tried her hardest to keep it together till she reached the safe confines of her room. Once inside with the door shut and locked, she collapsed. The file slid across the floor towards her bed as her hands flew to her face. "He's alive... he's..he's not dead..." she sobbed into her hands as quietly as possible. Her whole body was shaking as her mind tried to wrap itself around the fact that her true love was still alive, and had been all of these years. "Oh Clint..." She muttered as she glanced to the file. She knew she would have to study it, knowing she would find things she probably didn't want to know about within.

After releasing her emotions, Dominika crawled over to the file and picked it up, before climbing to her bed. She sat cross-legged as she began to comb through the paperwork. The name he is going by now is Andrei. He is was last spotted in Jena, Germany with a brunet named Mila. He often goes to a cafe/coffee shop called Black Bean where he spends much of his time on his personal laptop. She scanned over pictures that were recently taken for Intel. He looked happy. In several pictures he was smiling, almost even laughing. He seemed to really care about this Mila woman as he had a protective arm around her when they were together. This put a burning feeling in Dominika's stomach. "Who is this woman...?" she glared. "I think I'll go after her to get to him" she whispered and tapped the picture of the German woman. She knew it was now late and she should be getting some rest as tomorrow and the rest of the week would include packing and tweaking her techniques on how to be around without being seen.

Five minutes later a familiar face reappeared. IT was the gentleman that retrieved her from the front lobby. "Follow me" he said, this time in English. Dominika nodded and stood from her chair and followed the man. "The next phase of the interview is the fingerprints, DNA, and polygraph. These will secure your spot in our facility or deny you." he said with certainty. Dom nodded, though she could feel some of her anxiety start to rise back up. She clenched her fists tightly, causing her fingernails to lightly dig into her skin. This caused her to calm down and breathe. "Sounds fun" She replied.

Down the hall was another room, this one looked more comfortable. It had chairs with cushions, calming music was being played, and a fan was going just off to the side of the door. " Take a seat and someone will be here shortly." he stated and left once again. Dominika looked around for a couple of seconds and then took a seat, her legs crossed. After a couple more minutes, a blonde woman dressed in a white lab coat entered. "Miss Pavlov?" She asked. "Yes" replied Dom. The woman walked over with a smile and extended her hand "Hello. I am Lidiya" Dominika smiled and shook the woman's hand saying "Nice to meet you." Once the greeting was over Lidiya got down to business. "Alright, I'm here to perform your final steps before you're accepted into the facility as an employee. This will involve blood work, fingerprints, and a polygraph. Do you accept these terms?" Dominika listened carefully and nodded. "I do." Lidiya smile and clapped "good. Let begin" The first steps was to take fingerprints, followed by the blood work. These two were the easiest part of the process, Dom though, as it really didn't require much on her part.

The last step was the polygraph. Once she was hooked up to the wires and monitor, Lidiya sat opposite of her and began the test. "I'm going to start with questions that are simple, then they will get more in dept." Dominika nodded in conformation and took a deep breath.
Lidiya:  "Is your name Dominika Pavlov?"
Dom: "Yes"
Lidiya: " Have you ever lived in Moscow?"
Dom: "No"
Lidiya eyed the markings on the paper and nodded "Have you ever done drugs?"
Dom: "No" she lied. She was an addict years ago before she met Clint, but she still remained calm as she answered the question.
Lidiya:" Have you ever lived somewhere else besides Kameshkovo?"
Dom: "No" again, lie
Lidiya: "Are you a natural born citizen of Russia and swear your life to it's beliefs?"
Dom: "Yes" She knew she had to, to be able to find Clints remains and return him to their home.

After several more questions Lidiya ended the polygraph and unhooked Dom. " Thank you, Dominika. You may go have a seat back in the lounge I found you in and we will be with you shortly with the results." Dom nodded and returned to the lounge. She now could let the anxiety fill her, if only for a little bit. Her foot started to shake and she tapped her fingers on the armrest of the chair. All the what ifs came flooding back into her mind. Oh how she needed this to work out, if she was caught, they could very well kill her, or worse....torture her.

Two hours goes by and Dominika still hadn't heard back from anyone with the results of her tests. Was this good...bad...? Who knows. Finally, she heard foot steps coming closer. She took another deep breath and pulled herself together. When the male figure entered the room she stood. "Miss Pavlov... or should I say Agent Pavlov." Cheif Kupryazhkin extended his hand to shake hers. "Dom felt as though she could collapse, but instead she shook the man's hand firmly. "thank you, Sir" she smiled and sighed a breath of relief. "Don't thank me just yet, Agent. You have a lot of training to go through." Dom nodded, but still kept her smile. "I'm ready for whatever." she was eager to get in and infiltrate this facility for her own needs. "Good, because we already have a case specifically for you." Dom was slightly excited, yet confused as to why they would need her so soon. "May I ask how, so soon?" her brow furrowed in confusion even more. The Chief nodded "follow me and I will debrief you."

As they began to walk through the halls , the Chief began to explain. "You see, we have an agent missing. He was sent out on a special mission to Germany to assassinate a known affiliate to the American Government. He never checked in when he got there, nor has the mission been carried out. We suspect he was gone rouge and need to locate and retrieve him to bring him back for questioning. After years of watching him, we know he favors blonde American women. Considering you are the looks and can speak English well, we have decided to go with you instead of spent more resources and time on training another woman to do the job. Dom was quite the entire time, listening and taking every thing in. "So..." she said. "You want me to go to Germany pretending I am American to try and flush this guy out?" Chief Kupryazhkin nodded. "yes, that is exactly it, but there are a few things." he paused "hes very skilled in fighting, which is why you must hone in on your skills to be able to disarm and disable him. Secondly, he may be hard to get as he was in a committed relationship before being called on this mission." Dom stopped the chief, politely " Don't mean to interrupt, Sir...but why not just kidnap this person and use her a bait?" It was a good idea, but the Chief had an explanation for that as well. " We did think of that a year ago, but taking this woman from her home would cause more questions and we don't need that." Dominika understood and nodded. "I see, well... lets get started then, shall we?" Dom replied.

Even though she hadn't had a full debrief of the subject yet, she knew it was something she was in for. She had a way of manipulating people, and this guy didn't seem too different than most. Over the next few months, Dominika had to tone her small frame and strengthen her muscles. She worked on her agility, flexibility, and speed. She learned what tired, sore muscles felt like and would sometimes wounder if she had made the right decision...but in the end she kept moving on, as Clint was the reason she was here.

After six months of intensive training Cheif Kupryazhkin felt like Dom was ready for the mission. The week before she left on her way to Germany he pulled her into a room and handed her a file. "Here is everything we have on this man. His name, his aliases, people we've seen him hanging out with, the last known location." Dominika sat down at the table near her and opened the file. That's when she saw him, Clint. She would recognize him anywhere. Her eyes widened and her heart rate sped up. Her hands grew clammy and her respiration quickened. Luckily her head was down, so the cheif couldn't see her reaction, but she didn't know if she could pull herself back together after this. " Clint...." She whispered under her breath, but the cheif still heard her. " Yes, Clint Alexandrov. AKA Yuri Tarasov. AKA Andrei Nosov." Dominika flip through the pages slowly and then closed the file before standing up. "Thank you, Cheif. I will get to work studying these." She then turned and walked away, heading to her sleeping quarters where she knew she could release the emotions swelling inside her.

The questions were extensive on the forms, some generic and others not so much. Date of birth, name , identification number, mothers and fathers name, places you have lived in the past twenty years... were just some of the questions. Dominika luckily had studied over her past and heritage extensively while making her trip here. She could answer these questions without thinking twice. Once the forms were filled out and signed, Dom approached the counter once more, clipboard in hand, and gave everything to the lady she had spoke with earlier. The woman nodded in thanks and motioned for Dom to have a seat for the time being.

Dominika had only been sitting for maybe thirty minutes since handing in the forms when a large white male approached her. He stood 6 feet and 4 inches tall, easily 300 pound of muscle. "Dominika Pavlov?" The man asked as he came to a stop within a foot of her. Dom's head flicked up to make eye contact with the gentleman. **1** "Da" she simply replied. **2** "Podpisyvaytes' na menya" the man requested and turned, walking towards a dark brown door in the back left corner of the lobby.

Once to the door, than man scanned the badge that was hanging from his pocket and the door unlocked with a beep. He was nice enough to hold the door open for Dominika to enter, then closed it behind them. She thanked him for holding the door and then they were on their way down a dimly lit hall. The took a left turn, then a right, then another left which led them to a single, silver elevator. The man pressed the 'down' button and they waited. Once the elevator arrived and they stepped on, the mad pressed the last button on the panel. Dom could only imagine that this was the lower level, or underground. She waited patiently, her hands folded in front of her, resting in the center of her pelvis.

The time down to the lower level felt like it took forever, but it was only a couple minutes. Once the doors open, the man exited first, followed by Dom. **3** "Vot" he stated and held his arm to the side, motioning for her to enter a small room with only two cameras and two metal chairs separated by a table just the same. Dominika walked over to the chairs and took a seat. She placed her arms on the table and glanced to the door that was now shut. She was alone in this tiny room, but not for long. Soon two people entered, a dark-headed man and a red-headed female.

The male sat down whilst the female stood back , leaned against the corner of the wall. The male was the first one to speak "Good afternoon, Miss..." he paused to open the beige folder he had resting on the table "Pavlov". His Russian accent was thick, but understandable. Dominika realized that this interview was going to be in English rather than Russian. This made her feel more relaxed. "I am the Internal Security Directorate, Chiefs Alexander Kupryazhkin, and this ..." he motioned to the female " is Operational Information and International Relations Service Chief, Oksana Anosova." Dominika smiled politely and replied "Good afternoon, Cheif Kupryazhkin and Anosova" she made sure her accent was applied to each word she spoke correctly.

Cheif Kupryazhkin glanced back down at the file, and thumbed through some of the pages, coming to a stop on a page with a picture of Dominika and other bits of information. " It looks here that you haven't been involved with the media or law enforcemen. Not even as much as a traffic violation." He continued on down what seemed to be the results of the background check. "Your mother and father were both upstanding citizens, you're an only child, and you have lived in Kameshkovo your whole life." He paused again and Dominika took this time to shift in her seat. She then started to go over the application forms she filled out herself. "Hmm.." he pondered. He then motioned for the female to come forward to take a look at something. She bent down and scanned the page then they whispered something to each other. Suddenly they both looked at the with curious eyes. "It says here your skilled in hand-to-hand combat and you speak English fluently..." the man trailed off. "It says you worked with a tutor for fifteen years... I would suppose you could speak English without the hints of your Russian accent?" She inquired, eyebrows raised. Dominika nodded confidently and smiled "absolutely" she replied, this time without the accent. The two chiefs smiled and nodded to each other. " Hmm... well I believe we would like to move you on to the next phase of employment" and with that, the two of them left the room, once again closing the door behind them.

Once she got herself settled in to the motel about two miles from headquarters and rested, she started her search for the best spot to hide her belongings. After hours of searching for the perfect spot to hide her personal belongings which contained information of her "old life" and that of Clint she felt a little more at ease. She picked the perfect spot, a large park area filled with trees, dens that belonged to many different species of animals, lakes, hiking trails, and much more. She knew this area wouldn't be suspicious since the area contained dense trails that would allow her to slip into the confines of the vegetation. She pulled out a small , light-weight shovel and got to digging, making sure she dug a whole at least 4 feet deep, 2 feet wide, and 3 feet long. She kept the soil close by as to fill the whole back once she finished. As she started to lower the bag into it's resting place she paused for a minute. She clutched the rest of the belongings that tied her to Braylin Marie before dropping the bag down and began to cover it. "Good bye..." she muttered as she patted down the soil and moved to grab a small amount of snow near by to help make the area look less undisturbed.

Back at the motel, Dominika showered and changed into form-fitting, all black clothing. The only hint of color to her outfit was a silver metal belt that looped around her pants. Now that her blonde hair was washed and styled, she applied cherry-red lipstick, and just a small amount of mascara to her lashes to enhance her looks. Most women in the FSB were beautiful women used to infiltrate other countries and lives. Luckily, not only could she 'clean up nice', but she could fight and had a slick tongue. Once she finished getting ready, she grabbed her documentation she needed to identify herself as Dominika Pavolv and took her leave from the motel.

She decided to walk to the large building that would, hopefully, start her new life in the direction she needed to go. She took this time to force all her emotions down and back, clear her head from Braylin and replace her with Dominika. She knew, normally, it would some times take upwards of a decade for spies to be tried before being sent out in to the field, but she hoped everything she brought to the table would show the officials that she could do this in quicker time. Once she got to the front door, she held her head high, took one last deep breath, and entered the facility.

Inside, everything seemed to be in a perfect place. Nothing was out of sorts and the sound of light chattering filled the air made her feel as though she had made a mistake. What if her fingerprints and DNA came back as Braylin? What if she fails the polygraph? These thoughts blasted into her mind, though she was quick to push them away. She couldn't think or feel that way, or else she would be caught. As she made her way to the front desk, Dominika eyed around the front lobby to take notice of the cameras, exits, and any guards that were stationed around.

Once at the front desk, Dominika cleared her throat which caused one of the three woman to poke her head up, enthused. **1** "YA mogu vam pomoch'?" the woman asked. Dominika stared her straight in the eyes and replied **2** "YA khochu podat' zayavku na dolzhnost' Federal'noy sluzhby bezopasnosti." without missing a beat. The woman lifted her left eyebrow and scanned the woman in front of her over, slowly. **3** "Ochen' khorosho. Zapolnite ikh. Vernite yego s dvumya formami identifikatsii." the woman said as she handed Dominika a metal clipboard and pen. Dominika nodded lightly and turned away to find a secluded seat to fill out the forms.

((**1** Can I help you? ))
((**2** I want to apply for the position of the Federal Security Service))
((**3** Very good. Fill them out. Return it with two forms of identification ))

She hated to rely on people for much, but this was a job that she couldn't tackle alone. She replied on Marat and his high-tech guru's to elaborate on her background. She knew her ID, birth certificate, nor her knowledge would work alone in this task. They had to hack into medical facilities to report hospitalizations, vaccinations, any thing that would make her appear real. They had to make up a profile in country's headquarters to show she was able to drive and carry a fire arm. They had worked hard for the last year and a half to help her come up with this new persona and all she could do now was do her thing and hoped everything pieced together seamlessly.

After having a small bite to eat and thanking Marat one last time, she headed off on the journey towards Moscow. The distance was pretty far to walk, approximately 250 kilometers from her location to Lubyanka Square so she decided to take the bus. That would cut the walking distance of 2-3 days down to only about 5 hours. She walked to the nearest bus stop "Odnostoronniy bilet na Lubyanku, pozhaluysta." ( ( written  form Односторонний билет на Лубянку, пожалуйста.) ) She then handed the man at the counter the money for the ticket and he replied "Bezopasnyye puteshestviya." ( (Безопасные путешествия ) ). She nodded and sat down on a bench, waiting for her bus to arrive.

After about an hours wait, she saw the large silver vehicle pull into the station and current passengers unloaded. She bent down to grab her bag and walked over to the bus, throwing her duffle under the vehicle and then handed her ticket to the drive. He looked it over quickly and motioned for her to board. Not many people were on the bus for this trip, so she was glad she was able to snag a seat to herself. She loved window seats as they allowed her to observe the land as well as rest her head on if she needed a nap. She knew this ride would be a long one, so she made herself as comfortable as possible and closed her eyes. The only time she was ever truly happy now-a-days was when she was dreaming and Clint was there.

The drive was bumpy and uneventful, but not too bad. She had slept most of the way, and only awoke during the last 30 minutes of the trip. When they arrived at the bus station in Lubyanka, she stood and stretched her arms out with a groan. She then exited the bus, grabbed her dufflebag and went on her way to seek out a motel where she could hide out a few days, before securing her information in a safe space and heading to the FSB headquarters.

Once she was showered and dressed for the evening, she crawled on to her cot and covered up. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly, allowing her tears to fall. She clutched a gold locket tightly to her chest that contained a small picture of her and Clint together.  She carried it with her, always. She knew it was time to get down to business, but all she really wanted, all she really wished for was to be home in the arms of Clint, watching TV or reading. She wiped the tears from her cheek and closed her eyes, knowing she had a long road coming.

The next morning, Braylin woke up and got straight to work. "Dominika Pavlov, Dominika Pavlov..." She repeated over and over until it came natural for her and rolled off her tongue fluently. She grabbed her file that she had brought along containing the knowledge she had gathered over the years with Clint, and since his absence. When she opened it up, the left side held a small stack of papers pertaining to "Yuri Tarasov" There were several picture of him, along with a copy of his death certificate. She knew that Yuri was also Clint. Before moving to America he was part of The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, better known as FSB.  Yuri was his undercover name. She had a few documents, along with the pictures, that contained information about some of the cases he was involved with; including the one where Clint's superior , better known as his father, was murdered by a rouge spy. The majority of the paper work, was about the FSB itself. It contained information about what work they do as well as information on the Headquarter's building located in Lubyanka Square, Moscow. She knew that's where she needed to start. She needed to go there and apply for an entry level position and work her way up, whether it be through her fight, stamina, and wit ... or it would be through her looks, manipulation tactics, and determination.

"You can do this Bray..." She told herself, looking at the reflection staring back at her. "You have been practicing the language, your accent...everything.  You have a plan..." she told herself. She then reviewed the start of the steps in her head - Start by going to Russia, search out informants and contacts, and move on from there...- She pulled her blonde, greasy hair back in a hair tie, grabbed her passport from the side table, and the single black dufflebag that was resting on the couch. A dark colored sedan awaited outside for her with a young man in the driver seat. She threw the dufflebag into the open trunk and closed it before seating herself in the back of the vehicle. "Miss. B." The man greeted her by the only name anyone she had recently been in contact with knew her by. "Evening" She replied back. " To the private clearing we spoke about" She stated. Within seconds, they were on the road. She leaned her head against the cool window and closed her eyes, meditating.

Her journey was long to reach Russian, as spectated, and it consisted of several steps. She met a Russian woman by the name Galina at the clearing who flew her near the outskirts of a safe-house in Kameshkovo. There she trekked her way through the heavy snow and cold to reach her destination and receive her fake Identification from her contact, Marat. Luckily, her skills and abilities allowed her to withstand the frigid weather well and she had no other needs once arriving to the safe-house, other than to eat and rest.

"Thank you, Marat" she said a she tipped back a shot of vodka and removed her thick coat. "No problem, Miss. B" he replied in the best English he could muster. " Your new name will be Dominika Pavlov. I used a recent picture you sent as well as the official seal and attached it to the card as to make it look official." He handed her a stack of papers which contained everything she would need to start a new life in this place while searching for her love's remains. She gladly took them and nodded in appreciation. "I believe I should turn in for the evening. I have a lot to do starting tomorrow" She stated as she turned to the hallway which lead to where she would be sleeping for the evening.

The two beings spent the next 4 years together. Growing and learning together was something they enjoyed doing. Yes, they had their spats, but by the end of the night, they would be in each other's arms, happily.

~*~ Two years since they Last saw each other. ~*~

Two years....two years since she had last seen her love, Clint. Two years of internal conflict, sadness, darkness for her. Bray constantly runs over every word he last said to her.  "It's just a short operation my sweet" he reassured her. She didn't want him to go back to that scary, far-away country. She didn't want him to get back undercover and risk his life, but he was so insistent. He assured her he would be back in 10 months, and would write everday, but after eight months the letters stopped coming. When he never returned after the promised 10 months, she grew worried.

Sadly, one late, fall afternoon, two black-shrouded, Russian men came to her door step and informed her that Clint was missing. They feared him captured by the enemy,  tortured, and disposed of. All she had held on to came crashing down that day. Her icy-cold heart shattered. She felt as though she couldn't breathe, her chest tightened. She managed to hold it together long enough to bid the two gentleman adieu, but once she was inside the confines of her home...no, their home, she lost it. She screamed at the tops of her lungs and crashed down to her knees. The air around her suddenly dropped in temperature and the moister around her froze. "Noooooo.... no no no" She cried as she clutched the sides of her head. "I knew it was a bad idea... I told him!" She snapped to herself. She had a mixture of anger and devastation swirling in her mind.

That day, everything changed. Her mind became a dark place  once more. The warm house that she once shared with him was now ice cold with clutter strewn about. Her beautiful blonde hair , now scraggly and tossed around. She had lost her job at the school last year when she snapped on a student and slung him across the room. She would have been arrested,  had the school and parent not taken pitty on her over the loss of her beloved. Now, she spent her days researching and investigating. She swore to herself the day she found out her love was missing and hadn't been discovered, that she would find him and bring him home. Somehow...some way. She didn't care how she discovered his remains she was going to do whatever it took to get him back here.

Stepping from the trees, Clint stared at the house, it had been months, since he had last been here. Now he stood, silently a worn green duffel bag hanging from his shoulder, wondering. Was she home, would she be happy to see him, would she be angry? What if she had moved on, not like there had really been anything between them, an assassin turned teacher, and a teacher/ prostitute. He had gone back to killing, it was who he was, what he did, what he was great at...

Sighing, he adjusted the bag and walked to the door, his clothes the sme they had been on the day he had met her. Reaching the door be stood in front of it and just stared. He must have remained like this for several minutes before he finally lifted his hand and knocked.

She felt ptiful as she begged him to stay and never leave. She closed her eyes as she felt his arms wrapping around her and pulling her closer to him. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly. She didn't know why she wanted him to stay, she just did.

She nodded softly when hen told her he would never leave unless she wanted him to. She felt his lips against hers and she kissed back. She laid her head against hus chest and slowly drifted to sleep.

When she begged him not to leave, something in Clint shattered, and he longed to do whatever he could for her. Laying next to her, he drew her into his arms. he didn't care about being a teacher, or her being a prostitute, or even about the other guy she had mentioned. What mattered to Clint was not leaving her, she had begged him not to go, and he wouldn't

as he held her, he gently carresed her cheek, "Braylin. I will never leave you unless you absolutely want me to." He whispered, kissing her softly on her lips, the passion from the night before still there as he issed her.

The pretty woman had slightly broke. She felt like ****, plain and simple. She heard him walk through the door, even smelled him. She sniffled and peeked through her hair up at him. She defiantly did not want him to see her like this, but what worse could happen. She felt him touch her arm, this made her smile slightly, btu it was soon taken away my her mood.  It really was not his fault at all. It was all hers.

She felt his fingers brushing the hair that was in her face, out of her face. She sniffled again and her bright blue eyes looked upat him. her the ear-straked face had puffed up slightly due to the crying. She sat there and looked at him. She felt honored and cursed that he liked her. she knew someone would end up getting hurt. She knew she could never have both. She looked down and shook her head. " I do not even know where he is at, Clint." her voice was soft, filled with pain and hurt, from herelf. "I told you i would allow you to stay here, as long as i can continued my jobs. " She paused. "just please do not leave." she pleaded

Hearing the door unlock Clint stood and walked through the dor. What he saw nearly caused him to drop to his knees. braylin was on her bed, into a tight ball crying. Because of him, walking over her sat on the bed and touched her arm, lightly gingerly, almost affectionately. "Braylin.... I'm sorrry for doing this to you." He whispered.

When she said nothing he brushed her hair from her face, and saw the teas on her cheeks. It made him feel horrible seeing it. Leaning down he kissed her cheek, feeling her tears on his lips, he whispered, "braylin, hearing that doesn't change the way I feel about you." He stated, you gave me something I haven't had in a long time, peace." He explained, "Being with you, outs me at ease. I become relaxed, less paranoid, you managed to bring out a side of me I havent seen in years." He whispered, "You made me feel whole, as a human." Closing his eyes he rubbe her shoulder and kissed her cheek softly, before wiping the tears away. "I don't know how you feel, but I know you care about that kid, so you go and do whatever you want." He whispered, not angry, or sullen. though maybe a little dejectedly. He sat on the bed staring her, rubbing her arm.

She continued to keep her head burried in her pillows and covers. She felt horrible. not for having the intamate moment with the younger man, but because she had hurt Clint. there was no dening it. She felt horrible about it. She sobbed, trying not to be loud when she head Clint knock. She jsut simply curled into a ball on her bed. She heard him plead to enter the room. She figured she could atleast let him in and talk. She simple lifted her hand towards the door and two ice hands formed, unlocking the door.

She kept her face in the pillows, her body curled in a tight ball. Tears contineud to stream down her face as she laid there. she wondered what he would say, or do.

Sitting on the porch Clint buried his face in his hands, then ran them through his haor and rested them interlocked on the back of his neck. Shaking his head he took three deep long slow breaths, he liked Braylin and he wasn't going to lose her like this, ith out a word spoken. Standing up he walked back in the house, "Braylin?" He called towards the kitchen. Not hearing an answer he walked in to see her gone and the tea kettle on the stove, removing it he searched the bottom portion then went up stairs. Walking to her closed dow, he tried to open but found it locked. Shaking his head he leaned against the wall and knocked on the door, "Braylin, are you in there?" When no answer came he sighed, then heard soft sobbing, with just dug at his chest.

Sliding to the floor, Clint called through the door agan, "Braylin, let me in. I want to talk." He ca;lled out, still nothing happened. Burying his face in his hands he inhaled, "Pleasse Braylin,...... I can't let you go like this. Just at lwast let me come in and talk." He called out. Continuing to stare at the floor, he waited patiently.

She watched his facial expression and knew he was hurt. She did not have to even ead his mind to know he was devastated. She swallowed feeling tears start to hit her eyes. She hated hurting people, that waswhy she  did not want to do this. She knew he would end up hurt in the end. She had tried to avoid it. She was not in love with the kid, she jsut owed him a lot. She loved him, that was true, but inlove with him was a different story. She watched him turn and as he did, she let the tears fall. She wiped her face and knew the man needed time alone.

She could not help  though, as he sat there to rad his mind. She say him calling himself an idiiot and seeing what he wanted. This only made her cry more. She hated showing emotion and luckily Clint was outside. she quickly turned and ran up the sitars to her room where she locekd herself inside, and him out of it. She fell on her bed and jsut cried into the covers and pillows

Clint was leaning,  back his arms folded over his chest, waiting. He had a soft little smile on his face , he liked Braylin, she put him at ease. Running a hand through his hair he blinked and  listened as she started speaking. He wasn't rteally paying that much untill she said one student stayed after class.

Listening to her words, heis eyes searched her face ooking for the punchline joke, or 'I'm just kidding' that he paryed was going to come. When it didn't he stood there, motionless, his eyes drifting from her face to the floor, "what had just happened?" He wondered, did he really hear that? She was was infatuated with him, Clint had been nothing but a client who got a free ride, he suddenly realized. Sh loved that kid, and he had just been a  one night stand. Slowly he nodded and swallowed, "I... I... it's alright..." He mumbled, he had gotten to close to her, and now everything he had hoped for was shattered.

When she said she was going back to the school the nextr day he nodded, looking up. Clint pointed over his shoulder towards the door, a strange look on his face, "I'm..... just going..... to get some fresh air..." He mumbled, turning and walking down the hall. Once he was out side he walked across the porch to the stairs that he practically fell into a sitting position on. "God, I am an idiot..." He breathed, rubbing his eyes. "Did I really think one night of bliss would lead to a relationship?" He asked the wind, with no answer returning.

She knew she had wore him out, but that was not on her mind at the moment. What she was going to tell him had taken over evey space in her mind. She cleared her throat and took a depp breath, and told him what had happened.

" Alright..." She began. " Two years ago, i was teaching a class of students. A few were not doing as well as i thought they should so I offered to give some extra credit for anyone who stayed after to work on a project. " she paused shortly. " There was only one student who stayed. He looked at me in a way that...got to me." she replied and closed her eyes. " when he touched me... and pulled me closer. I couldnt help myself."She looked at him in the eyes now " we had sex on my desk at school. I had sex with a fifeen year old while i was twenty." She never broke the eye contact. " he opened up something in me that i had never opedn up before. He brought out emotion in me, and i dont want toer and let it go." She finally turned, her back to him. "I dont know what it is about him." She admitted.

After admitting the inncident thta took place between her Kota, Braylin spoek again. " I am going back to work tomorrow, I am sorry, Clint. Ill still help with the training, if you want, i just need to go to work."
