Early morning dew made her feet wet and glisten against the rising sun. A soft breeze tugged at the the loose hairs of her braids as the woman twirled a weed between the pads of her thumb and index finger. Whatever was on her mind did not leave an impression in her expression. Instead, her face remained a blank slate as she wandered through the blades of grass.

It was unlike her to be up and around at dawn, but she had not been able to sleep anymore.

Just as she had begun to enjoy the outdoors and its inhabitants, silence befell on the area as darkness betrayed the sunrise. In her hesitation, she accidentally squashed the weed just as the ground beneath the soles of her feet tremble. A sense of foreboding kept her from moving.

The energy pulsating across the area made her frown in displeasure. It was unfamiliar. Then came a wail and it carved fear into the woman's grey gaze. She witnessed a creature crawl from its dirt abode and onto the surface of Earth. There, it stood in an impressive measure, easily towering over the woman.

Again, another screech impaled her eardrums, threatening to slice them in half. The woman's fear left her, only to be replaced with pain and she moved to cover her ears to help block out the sound.

Suddenly, the world around her began to dissolve. Life was selfishly taken from all various forms of life, save for the woman.

The creature moved, but she diverted her gaze, finding little desire to discover its purpose behind his movements. She remained that way, head down and long blond curls covering her face, until she heard another scream that was resembled normalcy.

Tilting her head back, she.saw a creature. One might suggest him ti be a man, but she was not certain. Horns; what man has them?

The creature vanished, leaving behind the 'man' and the woman. It was not long before the realm returned to its original state. Everything appeared as it had been before. But what was different, was his presence.

He spoke and she watched him carefully as the words uttered were digested and given meanings in her mind.

"Urdroxa," she repeated, her voice hardly audible.

Her eyes beheld him curiously, but she dared not say anything further until he acknowledged her.

Birds chirp as a new dawn begins, yet they chirp for mere moments when even the animals quiet down, their happy tones replaced with an eerie silence. The skies begin to darken as it seems to fill with crimson light. The ground begins to tremble as a singe horrific scream penetrates the quiet. It sounded a kin to an insect. A large jet black creature begins to claw it's way out of the ground, a hellish fissure opening up where it births itself. It's long slick body is sinewy, thin, and standing roughly 11 feet tall. It's body has 4 long arms tipped with razor-sharp fangs. It's legs are snapped back in a loud pop to increase it's agility in low gravity environments. Just now it's two incredibly long tails slide out of the fissure, each one with a horrendous barb covered in a brackish liquid that seems to shine in the blood-light. It lets out one more final scream, this one longer and louder, to challenge anything within miles to witness it's birth, or even darker still, the birth of it's Master.

It is now that the skies begin to fill with rain, covering the area for miles with blood. As all organic life (except those of you reading) begins to deteriorate, the atmospheric pressure being exerted crushes their bodies and vein structures as if they were nothing. Their bodies becoming lifeless lumps on the ground, their blood seeping deep into it. The Creature quickly drops to all 6 limbs and into the clearing. The lumps of flesh and bone shards seemed to be gathered here into one giant mass. As moments pass the mass begins to beat like that of the heart of a great beast. The creature takes one giant leap onto the mass before it digs its claws deep into the center and begins tearing out chunks, huge geysers of blood coat the creature and yet the monster itself only speeds its way deeper. Until finally it leaps away, finally giving a glimpse at whats buried within. A pale figure's chest now shows, his head covered in matted black hair, hiding his face and upper body. As the rain hits his body he jolts awake with a loud scream of his own, normal at first, before it's voice is joined in with several other, more deep and sinister tones drowned out all that made him sound human.

"Pain...." The torso grumbles and begins to contort. "Get me out of here!" He yells, it seems to cower at first before nodding to his master's will. Leaping up once more it grips his torso gingerly before ripping his body straight out of the mass and landing dozens of feet below. His limbs blackened and his chest now bears a hole, from which similar blackish liquids ooze and coat his body. Horns rip from his skull, and crazed laughter emerges. "My body... Still bears the marks of combat..." His eyes are wide with madness. "Oh the joy of it! It still hurts!" He laughs once more, the sound of it joined in with his Pet's challenging scream. He stands before looking around, some sort of emotion breathes life into him as he sighs. "Now this isn't civil... Is it Pain?" He said with a chuckle. "Begone, for I will need you again..." And with that the creature nods before darting back into the fissure which closes abruptly behind him. As the man looks up into the skies, blood rains on him for just a few seconds more before ebbing away into clear skies, the sun bright yellow. With the silence broken by the mans long breath out, he pops his neck left and right. "Now let's see if I've still got it." He said slowly weaving his arms in the air, his black eyes now bright gold as he sees the tapestry of life and it's broken fibers. He smiles as he begins to reconnect the strands and in the blink of an eye the world is remade with life. "As the world gives life unto me, so shall I do for it..." He laughs heartily to himself while a wide brimmed straw hat appears on his head, and a long robe covers his body. "Who would have thought that Urdroxa would ever say those words..."

Domovoi held up his hand to stall further questions from his brother. "Quiet." His eyes darted immediately towards the female who dropped from the trees, his hands reflexively coating themselves with silver tendrils of light. As his eyes took in every detail of the woman he realized she posed no immediate threat to them and glanced back at his brother. "This conversation is for our Clan, not for other ears." And with that he straightened up, the tendrils fading from existence as he did. "But time is unfortunately a fickle matter, and we simply don't have the time." He turned towards Beralai and with a sigh, regarded his brother on equal terms. ""Father is alive. He, as are the rest of the Clan; Hunting you.

He turned from his brother at this statement, knowing full well the realization that would soon hit Beralai. His Family had been alive. Spared, even. But they had cast him from their society. Left him behind in hopes that he would of met his demise. But word soon traveled of a Masked Man, doing both horrifying, and heroic deeds across the worlds. All of Beralai's Brothers were dispatched to "attend" this problem.

"I have come here not to fight, but merely warn you. The Criviskarian Sentinels are after you. I, being the appointed Overseer, will do everything in my power to find you, as I just have. But I find it... unfair, to come at you with you unprepared. Now you know." Domovoi glanced at Xylra before turning away from his Brother and started walking away.

He paused a moment and glanced over his shoulder. "And Little Brother? Make this worthwhile for me. I haven't had fun in nearly four centuries!" And with that, turned away and shifted from the realm.

King couldnt help but to chuckle a bit at the sight of this man's 'accent.' Trying his very hardest to even understand the man: barely managing to do so. Though he could form some sentences when the man's blubbering became a little more coherant."aah.. so a traveller, huh?" He said with a kind smile as he looked down to the flashed: the look in his golden eyes beginning to glimmer with a deep scarlet. His eyes seeming blank: trapped. "Go ahead, 'king.' Give into the temptation. take a few steps into my domain... temptation... Just let me get a little closer.." As he blankly stared at the flask he felt a hand touch his shoulder: immediately snapping back to reality. A shadow figure standing directly behind him only to be forced back down into his shadow. Kings eyes quickly dispersing the red fog within them; retaining their golden shimmer.

'did that really happen?' he wondered as he looked to the man; attempting to regain reality. only to shake off the confusion and shake his head with a smile. "No no... I mustn't drink... Though I appreciate the hospitality." He gave the man a kind smile before sitting down across from him. hearing his name he gave the man a quick nod in return; replying back with a soft tone. "brian, huh? nice name. I'm not even sure what my name is, really.. So you dont have to call me king." He nervously laughed as he held his hand on the back of his head: burried deep into his long white hair. "though I wouldnt mind stickin' around. Well.. If you dont mind that is. maybe I can find some answers that way." though as he tried playing it off as if nothing was bothering him his shadow shifted behind him: restless.

'**** me... the lad's looney...' He muttered to himself; though given his inebriation, it was undoubtedly heard by all within earshot.

'How in ta **** am I suppose ta know who ya 're, laddie? I don't even know meself ha' the time.' His arms made big, exaggerated gestures as he spoke, as if hoping that made up for the almost incoherent ranting. 'Matter o' fact, I tryna ta keep it th' way, y'hear? Ain't no use knowin', I say... Better off like this tha' sober. If I was s'posed ta know, I'd know. Tha's why the thrice-**** gods made this her' liqu'r.'

He pulled the flask out and took a swig from it. 'Kills what ails ya, I always say. 'Though if yer a King, s'pose I could share...' He gave a sloppy bow, almost tipping forward with the effort before leaning back up and taking another pull from it, proffering the liquid to the other man.

He sat down before too long, murmuring an apology and complaining about old age. 'Yer more an' welcome ta join me, bu' don't say I wa' nah kind ta ye if ya choose ta mo' along, but I wa' jus' tryna figure tha' out meself. Mayhap ye were drawn her' 'cause o' me; though nah much of a guide, must 'mit.' His shoulders shrugged, the cloth of his shirt rolling easily with his movements. Despite his drunkenness, there was a certain grace about his form that spoke of a warrior; a soldier, at the very least, with more than the average skill with the sword and gun. A duelist, perhaps, given the sword at his hip.

His body was a lean, athletic build; the hard muscle beneath the sun- and weather-kissed flesh leaving no room for fat. The angular features of his face spoke of a higher birth. Take away the heavy, dark circles around his eyes and the grainy, bloodshot hues and he'd make for an attractive man; the scars adding to the handsome features, defining them in a more rugged way, as if taking his noble features to a higher degree.

But it was, perhaps, the strength that lay within this man that made him worth looking at a second and third time; the strength that dominated a room with ease, that inspired most to follow and die for him; that made others think twice before tangling with him.

'My name is Brian Jacques, at your service.' He spoke clearly, the blue eyes clearing up as he uttered those few words before the stupor settled upon him once more. 'S'pose I canna' keep callin' ye King, so I'mma ha' ta come up wit' a dif'rent name, if ye don' mind.' An eyebrow cocking up in question. 'Don't worry, either, for I will give ye a noble name!'

as king stared down at his clenching and unclenching hand he heard the blubber of a drunken man. the poor man barely able to form a sentence. King immediately was crossed with a sense of... Pity. An emotion new to this form. He knew not what emotions even were; let alone having a grip on them. He did not turn to the man who spoke to him so sloppily. only speaking back in a calm, distant, tone. "You dont... Care?" He finally looked up to the drunk as his fist released. "well... thats the problem... I dont know who I am..." His voice held such lost innocence as he spoke. it was as if he was a childs mind shoved into a mans body. "Though... I keep hearing them... Do you? they call me.... King. Is that who I am?"

as he finished speaking he looked intently at the drunken man almost as if he was expecting this man to know. As if he could hear the voices as well. "I am king!" screamed the voice in his mind. over and over as if it was his own conscience. trying to remind him of his missplaced identity. Though, these voices did not harm his kind, ignorant, tone. "I mean you no harm, sir... I'm just... A little lost is all..." Though kings glance immediately slid down to the ground with a glance of defeat. "where are we..?" He seemed to have a constant glance onto his hands. as if he was seeing something wrong. Like he saw something no others did. A body that did not belong to him. even the mind turning against him. Fighting for Iits own identity.

The soon-to-be sober pirate groaned as he heard a voice; then four different ones all from the same direction. 'You've got to be **** kidding me! Can't a man sleep peacefully in this godforsaken forest? I mean, is it that hard of a thing to ask for? Sleep?'

As he leaned, he rubbed his grainy, blood-shot eyes and peered about as he pulled a flask from an inner pocket of his leather jacket and took quite a long pull from it.

He sighed contently at the familiar burn down his throat, as it settled in his stomach.

'Aight... I care not you who be... Who... y-you... be, so reveal thyself or... suffer.'

He belched loudly as he staggered up, finger pointing in quite the opposite direction of the voices. He took another pull as he turned around, reorienting himself as his outstretched arm smacked against a tree. 'Gods **** all! Who put this 'ere'?

He placed a hand on the hilt of his backsword, as if it was the only thing keeping him upright; which it just might be. 'And if ye don't show yerself, I ha' ole 'damnit 'ere ta change yer mind.'

Despite him being liquored up, his senses were keen and his position straightened as he heard the muffled steps of only one person. He would frown, squinting his eyes to see. Ah... Now I see four o' him... wait...

'Only one o' ya... Wut happen ta the others?' He glared about, searching; listening. 'If yer tryna git the jump on me, good lu'. I ha' charged worse odds...' He belched again, staggering slightly off-balance as a result; took a step, listening, gauging the one man's reaction; however, his subconscious was screaming at him, tugging at his mind to try and clear it up; to get him to actually see the man before him. But its warnings went unanswered. And so, the pirate awaited; listening, watching.

A strange calm clouded the immediate area as a black and purple mist filled the air surrounding a large church. The thick mist pouring in every crack of the holy land. The mist condencing as it entered the hollowed ground; lightning crackling around the epicenter of the mist. lightning shooting out flashes of light that glimmered through the stained glass of the church: the calm never fading. The mist beginning to form together into a single entity, though, this single entity casting many shadows at its feet. Voices echoing throughout the church. "We are one; my brothers:" said a dark voice. a second calm echoing behind it. "No. We are many. Do not be naive; brother." A third voice finally shifting between the walls. "We will never be one. Not in our hearts. Never." The calmed voice interrupting as the three shadows at his feet stood to show three figures. "For once he's right, ya'know." A low growl was heard from the shadow who stood directly behind the man. "This body and mind is mine. It is undeniable."

The man finally stood up; his long silver hair flowing down to his back. A tight leather suit forming from the mist surrounding his body. Strange metals forming over his chest, arms, hands, legs, and waist. It seemed to be some form of strange armor. As he stood he turned to the three shadows; the closest merely inches from his face. He spoke in a confused, empty tone. "Who are you?"  This was the first to speak in a dark tone: "I am your master. I am your body and mind." Though, the calm shadow quickly cut him off. "WE are your mind and body. You." The confused, blank, man looked down to his hands. "Then who am I?" The third, amused, tone slipped in with a laugh. "Hah! You? You're just a monster like the rest of us." Everything grew quiet as he watched his hands clench; speaking to himself. "A monster...?"

with that the shadows faded into the floor; forming a singular shadow. The man looking around as he contemplated his answer. "I dont feel like a monster...?" With that said he looked around the church; letting out a sigh. Slowly turning and walking towards the door: opening it as a barrage of light bombarded his newborn eyes. "This is where I belong...?" His newly formed mind raced with questions of this new world. "Is there anybody out there..?"

There wasn't a lot that brought peace to the hazy mind of the pirate, emotions stirring slightly with each faint rock of the ship. A faint chuckle, rough and raspy from years of yelling and self-indulgence, echoed through the room the young renegade occupied.

His ship had been sunk some months now, the faint sloshing coming from memories. Eyes shut, he opened them, peering in room as the natural light slowly faded from without.

Or not.

Perhaps he had hit the booze a bit too hard the night before, finding himself in the middle of **** nowhere. He was alone, which was not unusual. The vagabond preferred it, in all honesty. No one to answer to save his own conscious that gave him no pity, his head pounding like war drums. He reached into a pocket, pulled a flask out, unscrewed the cap, and took a long pull from it till his throat threatened to burn away. His body warmed almost immediately and the hangover receded ever so slightly.

Within the bloodshot green eyes lay an intelligence that was hardly dampened by the alcohol; though they stared as if from faraway. Replacing the flask within the pocket, he did a quick inventory of his person, checking that his belongings were still about his person.

They were.

Said belongings were a backsword, a rundel dagger, and two pistols: one had four chambers, the other six.

The items were elegantly made, obviously above a person such as he. Indeed, he had acquired them by rather unconventional ways. Or just one way.

His list of atrocities were long, indeed, by human standards but his rap sheet was clean compared to most he associated with.

So, he lay there, in the middle of the day, staring up at nothing, listening to nothing... It always brought peace to his alcohol-induced mind. He found his flask again, taking a small swig this time. Closing his eyes once more, he allowed the nothing of the day to carry his thoughts away. At least for now, until his wandering soul found him once more and he was compelled to move again.

Brian Jacques, mostly known as Jack in the underground, sighed softly. The human felt buoyed, slowly awaiting the pull of his unanchored soul to drag him to places unknown. Perhaps it already had and he was merely waiting for something to find him...

She kept her eyes on her beloved and had a thought to jump down and help until she saw a third man enter the scene. It was tough staying silent and keeping her breathing under control, she almost fell a few times but kept her balance, trying to keep herself hidden and unnoticed. Keeping still for so long made her limbs grow weak so she silently moved to a better position and wanted dearly to meet his brothers but knew it was a bad idea. She would follow Beralai until she knew he was safe then surprise him, although it would be tough if he got into another fight, She wouldn't be able to resist helping him. Although being 10 feet away had its disadvantages and advantages.

Astrid thought for a second if she could get into his mind and tell him she was here, maybe then it would change things so she concentrated on him and said in a soft whisper to his mind I'm here tell me if you'd need me... i am a skilled fighter .. I lo- Her concentration was cut off by a sting to her leg and as she looked down at it there was a large bee and she held her breath and swiped at it, making it mad. The bee flew around her and stung her again she misplaced her balance and fell. twigs and branches snapped as She caught herself before falling to the forest floor although now she would be in clear view if they had heard her. Hoping they didnt she jumped back int the trees thankfully the bee had gone.

Beralai glanced back and forth between his brothers as thoughts flooded his mind. As he watched Domovoi call off Xylra, he knew that there was at least a little order in the family, or at least he hoped. As Xylra withdrew, Beralai withdrew his blade, placing it along his back as it simply drained into him. His crimson hued eyes taking in his other brother. So much time had passed since their last encounter.

He nodded towards his brother as he warily advanced forward. Domovoi was known for his efficiency on the field, as well as his charisma off of it. Beralai steeled himself against anything his brother could possibly do. The crimson within his eyes lighting up even more, adrenaline coursing through his system.

He stopped a few feet away from Domovoi and asked,"What's going on?"

The outrage! The audacity! How dare his brother take this from him! Xylra opened his mouth to offer a retort, but quickly snapped it shut. He quelled the fury within his chest as he bowed his head. "As you wish, Brother." And with that his blade faded away, shifting into mist before evaporating. "I imagine I'll see you back at camp." More of a comment than a question. His feet re-embracing the ground as he touched down. With a final glance at his brother's, he walked away. His mind going back to the female that he had smelled earlier. Quite curious. Maybe this could be a funner game than he'd imagined.

"I don't believe you have that authority."

The voice cutting through the air belonged to yet another man from this dysfunctional family. The man stood on the brink of the forestry, his mouth and nose concealed from view. His eyes were closed, almost as if the natural light that did remain was too much for him. With a wave of his hand, the mists parted and evaporated as if never there. With that, he inclined his head in mutual apology to Xylra and Beralai.

"Please. No fighting. I'm sure we all remember what happened last time our family fought." His eyes finally opening as he looked at Xylra with a pointed-stare. Then he glanced over to Beralai.

"We do need to talk however."

The movement of of his brother drew Xylra's gaze up towards the sky, the woman forgotten. The challenge reaching out in almost urgency. A sadistic smile was placed on Xylra's lips as a dark hunger went to his eyes. This was a moment that he had been so fixated on...

The pressure from the thick air made it surprisingly stifling, both for movement and for the acquisition of oxygen. The mists came back in a full torrent, cascading across the land like water. The mists continuing to thicken until Xylra was convinced that vision of any kind was lost. And with that, he slowly ascended into the air, not even disturbing the blanket of mist nor the air itself.

As Xylra broke the surface of the mists, his blade could be easier seen. The Midnight Blue was coupled with glowing green Runes up and down the blade. The pommel seeming to be carved from some darkened bone. The eyes of Xylra were nothing more than green flames, the same hue as the Runes.

"I shall claim your Soul for the Clan, and give it over to Magnus."

The Skies began to grow to a dangerous hue of crimson, as if they too shared his Hate. The mists slowly suffocating everything they could within the area.

"Let it end."

And with that, he waited for the first movement he could feel. The Mists acting as eyes and ears. When he moves, Xylra should feel it. He was waiting to strike forth at the first opportunity, to skewer what was once his brother.

Silently, softly, a shadow of a shadow of a man formed; blue-sapphire hues peered brightly from this faint image of a giant, watching keenly of the battle to come Between brothers.

Beralai looked upon his brother with sorrow. He knew his brother was lost to his anger, his madness. For a moment, the thought crossed his mind about his other brothers. Rexus, Reaver, Domovoi. And he wondered if they too, might be alive. And whether their thoughts ran parallel with Xylra's. That he should of been the one to die rather than their Father. Or if they too, saw the man's Greed for the more but were too cowed by him to say otherwise. His eyes hardened as he realized that his brother had caught hint Astrid.

With a simple shift of his weight forward, Beralai was no longer on the ground, but launching himself up into the air above Xylra. "You wanted to play, Brother?" A black serpentine blade formed within Beralai's left hand, a twitch of his wrist and the blade snapped into line, forming the full blade. It seemed to writhe in place slowly, as if it were anticipating the thrill of battle. A dark corona began to form around Beralai as he had called challenge to his brother.

Xylra listened with obvious restraint. A pent-up rage slowly boiling it's way to the surface as Beralai plead his case. "And what of it?" He asked with something near disgust. "If the world could of been tamed, then shouldn't it be so? Our father would of given Order, instead of the Chaos that persists. We..."He paused for a moment, an immense pain striking him at the thought of his Family. We should of killed you when we found you all those years ago. The vegetation dead around you, as if someone salted the very ground. He visibly shuddered for a moment, allowing his anger to take place of his sorrow. The same man that allowed you to live, you took his life. And for that..." His eyes glancing beyond Beralai, a different scent in the wind that caught his attention. Feminine in nature and Xylra couldn't help but to smile. "Oh, and I wonder whom that is?" He questioned tauntingly to his brother.

Beralai's gaze never wavered from the eyes of his brother. His left hand flying up in front of him in a defensive gesture, trying to abate his brother's attack. "Wait! Why must we fight? Surely you see the reasoning that spurred my actions?" His hand lowering a bit as he realized no attack was formed against him. "Our father was tyrannical! He wouldn't stop with just the Graavar! He would of sought bigger, larger game until he had the world, and even then it wouldn't be enough! Surely you see this?" This last question asked almost pleadingly, trying to rouse better, sound judgement from his brother.

Xylra waited for a few moments, growing increasingly impatient as he waited. He knew his brother's keen senses easily picked out his voice. And even if he weren't to of made a sound, he was sure that the thickening air would of quickly caught his attention. The cold air continued to bombard the area relentlessly, as if a great wind had passed through the mountain pass. The mists began to ebb away slowly, allowing sight to be restored.

"Oh dear Brother, how I've missed you so!" Sarcasm dripping like venom from the words as he cast his gaze upon Beralai. "It seems you haven't changed in the least..." His voice dropping slightly, as if in disappointment. "YOU! YOU are the culprit for the fall of our Father, nay, the Clan itself. And I shall gladly give you the death you so easily deserve!" And with that, he raised his hand, a midnight blue blade forming from the depths of his own mind, materializing into reality as he offered a cruel smile. "Shall we play, brother?"

It had been a week since his Resurrection, Donald had made it into New York City. The sounds of the modern city seemed to sicken his hate towards humans even more. The rushing cars, the ignorant people of the street, and all the technology. Sounds from tv's annoyed the Vampire, smells of the food had even sickened him. What has happened in this world to become so care free and gross would baffle the mind of Vic Mortiz. He would see many impurities in the blood streams of many humans. No pure bloods could be found, everyone has tainted their bloodlines. Donald couldn't find a single being worth draining to the core.

He would continue walking down main street seeing many  trade drugs, sell their bodies, or steal. The very look of sin on the streets and no one was their to change a thing. People lived without fear of God, without fear of the devil even. This disrespect would cause the Blood God to watch even more intently. He began his thoughts of how this world would fear a mass genocide, or will it welcome it. Times have became confusing and unlike the past that Lord Vic Mortiz would have to debate rather to kill them or eat them.

"Why must time decay, I hated them once, now all I can do is pity them. I must punish this world for becoming weak and ill minded."
